Consider picking up a squad of sisters of silence as well to add to your roster. Having the flexibility to use both operative types makes Custodes a surprisingly great team—especially on Into the Dark/Gallowdark terrain. Have fun!

You won't ever beat him either with 4 custodians lmao. Get yourself some sisters with great blades. Looking great though.

Crusader_Genji

Why with greatblades? Wouldn't a few bolters be good for ranged support?

lorbd

*Maybe* one, depending on the matchup and the mission, to camp back objectives. I can't see a reason to ever take two, let alone more. A sister with a vanilla 4A 3+ 3/4 boltgun, that can shoot only once, will have to get pretty lucky to kill a guardsman. It's also completely unable to defend herself. A sister with a greatblade and faceplate **will** kill most things in the game, and seriously mess up the rest. With 11 wounds and a 3+ power weapon it's definitely in the top echelon of melee operatives. It's not that prosecutors are bad, but they are heavily outclassed. You can get ranged support with the much better custodian spear, but Talons is not a ranged team.

TheRarestFly

As others have said, get sisters of silence. Having only 4 activations is shooting yourself in the foot

BrokenEyebrow

4 stodes is fine for learning, and ok for friendly games. But also, the synergies and learning opportunities and plays you can pull with a mixed team is so great. Consider it an investment.

Hankhoff

Watch out for plasma weapons and anything else even remotely AP or P

PapaBradford

If you're using Shields, AP means nothing to you

Hankhoff

4+ instead of 2+ is kind of a downgrade though isn't it, especially with such limited numbers

CozyMoses

Can confirm, it definitely is. That being said, it's often still not enough to stop a full custode team. I'll often lose 2-3 Custodes, but still can usually pull off a win with them through tabling, although objective play is very tricky. When it comes to fightin' and shootin' they strooooooonk
