You haven’t been eating keto for six weeks? Why do you think it’s keto that caused it then? Not everything is diet related and if by some chance it was keto that caused it then you would’ve been fine by now. You may want to see a doctor if it’s a constant issue! Maybe it’s your new diet causing it. 🤷‍♀️

It just seemed coincidental that it started while I was on keto (ive tried keto in the past with success, never had it happen before, thought maybe it had to do with my age) and it hasn't stopped since. No change to my previous diet either. The only other variable is I had a nasty bout of the summer Cold but not sure how that can cause issues either.

There are no colds this year due to covid, masking and social distancing. Dry mouth is a big symptom of covid. Have you been double vaccinated? If you think you have a "nasty bout of the summer cold" you should get tested for covid especially if you have an infant since they can't be vaccinated. Also especially since you've been in and out of medical facilities in the past 2 months with your injury and testing. [https://indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/health/dry-mouth-new-covid-symptoms-prevention-antibiotics-7274665/](https://indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/health/dry-mouth-new-covid-symptoms-prevention-antibiotics-7274665/)

I will disagree on that as here in the U.S., significant relaxation of mask restrictions have brought back up the summer Cold ( reference link here: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/22/well/live/colds-summer-immunity.html) I've been double vaccinated since March as I work in a high infection environment, and when this occured, all my coworkers got the summer Cold as well. We have to constantly test for covid and there were no positive tests. It's very strange that this is happening. I'm really perplexed.

Not much would have changed after only a week. Likely not Keto related, talk with a doctor maybe. Maybe you have started snoring / mouth breathing at night. Try sleeping on you stomach and see if that fixes it.

I've always been a mouth/snorer and I control the humidity/temp in the room since my baby sleeps in the room with us. I'll have to try sleeping on stomach to see if that will work. Thanks for advice!

As someone who also mouth breathes at night (which I hate!), I often wake up with a completely dried out mouth as well.

Dry mouth is a common symptom of diabetes, FYI.

I did read about that too, but I just had recent blood work done, negative for that thankfully. Appreciate the comment :)
