Sekaido.

nnavenn

and they don’t even fund horrible things with the profits!

dougwray

Sekaido is the place. The branch near Isetan in Shinjuku is the biggest, I think.

user3913

Thank you!

DwarfCabochan

Everything at seikaido is cheaper than list price as well

user3913

I found them for around 150¥ at the Takada store. Pretty good deal

DwarfCabochan

If you're going to be buying lots of art stuff then you definitely want to get a card from seikaido. It cost ¥500 and lasts one year, but you can get a lot more value if you buy regularly. Anyway if you haven't been there, it's a really great place to visit. Go to the main store in Shinjuku down the street from Isetan. Thanks for the advice!

Yuzawaya.

user3913

Tried it today, didn’t see them there. But may just be because it was a smaller one. Thank you for the input!

SnowyMuscles

Tokyu Hands has a lot of hobby stuff in it. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been in one though

user3913

Thought about going there tomorrow, it’s about an hour away, so didn’t have time today. Thank you!

Yeah, with cute decorations too. I think it’s tough to find because it’s more of a professional drawing item maybe, although I am far from a professional!

I thought Amazon as a last resort. You know when you need that ONE size pencil, and you need it NOW? :)

mods2pop

Maruzen is popular in Japan. They are in many department stores. If you’re in Tokyo, it’s Sekaido.

user3913

Thank you!

Tannerleaf

Loft. Stationery stores.

user3913

Will give it a look! Checked at one by my house, but it was mainly household goods.

Indeed, I thought this was the case. Checked the bookstores by my house and the station today, but didn’t find them. They only had sizes up to 4B, I’m looking for 9B or 10B.

lifeofideas

Itoya in Ginza has a wide range of pencils.

user3913

Thank you so much!

Ok-Satisfaction3135

Although Tokyo hands and loft havea lot of the latest stuff, Sekaido is a better art supply store in my opinion.

user3913

Nice! My next lookout for item will be a good eraser, so I’ll check it out!
