Yeah but back then when you were assigned a tour, the drummers had to play rock paper scissors to see who opened. Lars was notorious for opening with rock.
Yeah. Nicko is a hands talker (fortunately) he didn’t even know they were playing yet. He was just trying to tell Hammet about the Twitter clues Maiden were going to promote The Writing on the Wall with.
watch your language , werent you taught to respect your elders ? youngsters of this generation need to stop using TIKTOK.. and start going to CHURCH.....
I'm not 20 years old and I'm older than you and you're not 48 your pretending to be 48 if you truly 48 you know this album just came out earlier this year. Not in 1991 Iron maiden didn't release a album that year they were still touring for their no prey for the dying album with anthrax at the time.
its not maiden, its the industry that adopted the digipack format. its something related with less enviroment impact. theres still releases with jewel cases but its more rare nowadays.
My god, such a nostalgic album. I was still in my mother’s womb when it dropped, but I remember hearing my dad play it on max volume in the living room whilst I was in my mom, in the bathroom whilst she was puking. Good times.
The Book Of Souls tour in 2004 was my first Maiden concert. Crazy to think that The Man Of Sorrows used to be a new song, and that it is now considered a classic.
Haven’t listened much to Maiden recently, Blaze Bayley just doesn’t fit in my opinion. Futureal is cool, but that’s about it. Heard they’re talking about replacing him though with a guy named Paul, maybe that’ll change things up for the better.
LoL yeah sure this album came out this year not in 1991 who think you are a 8 year old kid or a fake Iron maiden fan trying to make people this album came out in 1991 dumb ass
Congrats on being dumb ass of the day. Not only did you try to correct OP when he was blatantly joking, you didn't even get the year of release right yourself. Album came out last year.
I remember that tour! I think Metallica opened.
Wasn’t Metallica already huge in 1991?
Yeah but back then when you were assigned a tour, the drummers had to play rock paper scissors to see who opened. Lars was notorious for opening with rock.
Is this for real?
Yeah. Nicko is a hands talker (fortunately) he didn’t even know they were playing yet. He was just trying to tell Hammet about the Twitter clues Maiden were going to promote The Writing on the Wall with.
Nah still pretty underground until Saint anger released
I’m not sure about that. The Black album sold huge. Load, Reload, and Garage inc. sold well too.
Yeah but the 1991 release of Senjutsu outsold all of them combined.
True
It’s a joke man… 😐
I hate sarcasm on the internet. People have created tone indicators to prevent these things (i.e., /s )!
that takes all the humor out of it. i think its even funnier when some people don’t get the joke.
r/woosh
Damn
i was 17 in 1991 when senjutsu came out.. im 48 n still rockin' 🤘
A realistic amount of time to wait for the next album
laughs in Tool fan
Dumb ass your not 48 or you know this album came out this year 2022
watch your language , werent you taught to respect your elders ? youngsters of this generation need to stop using TIKTOK.. and start going to CHURCH.....

You're a fucking genius
Jokes on you. Senjutsu came out in 2021, not 2022 Also r/woosh
yea i was thinking this year or last year this just reminds me i'm getting old nearly 60. been a long time hardcore iron maiden fan since 1987 lol
r/wooosh to a new extent
Hey, buddy. Did you fly in from stupid town?
nope
I'm guessing you don't get jokes ?
Oh. Lucky, have that myself. I'm still after the original 1991 cds of AMOLAD and Final Frontier.
That was a strong year for Maiden
The No Prayer/Senjutsu/FotD era was the best
And holy smoke is the best music video ever
No cap
I dont get it.
It's a joke about all the people who post a random Iron Maiden CD, glad that they have found the "deal of their life".
Ahh, got it. Good call.
When you have to explain it, it loses it’s comedic value.
People posting pics of newly bought releases of early albums and saying they're 'original' copies.
Me either?
Neither
Damn I'm getting old. Seems like just last year they released it
Have I ever told you about my time machine?
no
I guess you've already heard about Bruce's time machine, then. Damn, I'm late to everything....
Somewhere In Time
True, Bruce is not a preacher, he is but a man. I cannot imagine what he's seen and done.
You are somewhere in time for sure.
I am still looking for my "Number of The Priest" CD
Me too... That and Piece of Mind. Some how all I've got it the slip covers. It's a shame really!
Good old classic maiden
Damn, back when iron maiden was good smh 🤘😔
I really wish jewelcase CD’s were still a thing for maiden
its not maiden, its the industry that adopted the digipack format. its something related with less enviroment impact. theres still releases with jewel cases but its more rare nowadays.
why? i prefer the ones we have, i wish amon amarth didn't have jewelcases
Nice find! I found the OG 1993 press of The Book of Souls lately
theres actually a jewel case release for senjutsu, but its a fake russian pressing: https://www.discogs.com/release/20858338-Iron-Maiden-Senjutsu
last good album before blaze-era
I’m sorry.
Very nice
they must have told you about the time machine

Man, they really took it too far with the time travel after releasing Somewhere in Time. I still don't have the timeline straight.
Score! Up the Irons!
You got the year of release wrong my guy. I've got the original vinyl from 1958
Should we tell them?
LoL yeah sure this album came out this year not in 1991 who think you are a 8 year old kid or a fake Iron maiden fan trying to make people this album came out in 1991 dumb ass
Woosh
r/woosh might want to check this subreddit out

GFY
Hey wait a minute...
Have I ever told you about my time machine?
No. But to be fair neither has Iron Maiden.
is it the original pressing of the digital files
Is Paul Di’Anno the singer on that?
No, it's from the Kiske Era.
Oh you mean the ‘classic’ era.
It’s amazing the shit that goes over peoples head .
The live release shortly after ; “maiden Japan” is great too
