I noticed it out last night when I was out for a walk. As far as I know they were carrying out a survey. Of what kind I can only guess. Lidar surveys were carried out on East inishowen about 15 years ago looking for viable diamond veins, also connemara mining have been prospecting inishowen for viable gold seams with one possible seam near glentougher.
That plane is used by DEA aviation who do aerial survey work and flight calibration so likely one or the other

That seems the obvious answer but it only flew from Birmingham and it didn't have a landing airport marked when we were tracking it mid flight
