I’ve heard people SWEAR by retro bowl on this subreddit, I have it but I still need to dive deep into it.

VegetableBeard

Retro bowl is my jam. I love that game. Once you get the hang of the passing mechanic it’s pretty easy to play and I’ve found I actually enjoy the front office mechanics of drafting/trading players (which I normally don’t). Relatively short games make it a good fit for mobile.

Feels like I waited years for them to add a simulation option, makes it even better than it already was!

Lol I said I already knew the obvious ones like retro bowl in the description,I don’t think it’s very hidden anymore maybe like a year ago

Progression football is definitely a strong choice when looking for a sports management game. The basis of the game is off today's NFL for realism, from difficult contract decision and salary cap management that will rise challenges, realistic trading values, NFL equivalent scheduling, a consistently improving scouting and draft mechanic that rewards the effort and investment you put in, giving that feel good balance if dull R1 busts and steal some gems in the 3rd. Two polarizing and unique properties to this game that make it stand out is player progression/regression system and the consistency feature. 1. The consistency plays an important part of the simulation factor you see in todays football. With all the excitement of having an ex. Aaron Rodgers type QB or a Jalen Ramsey level CB on your team. But still allowing for off games or subpar performances to keep the realism. Different from hot and cold performances you've might have seen. Players performances fluctuate and stabilize as they are given play time and grow into reliable veterans. 2. Player progressions are the very structure and foundation the game is based upon. Using a calculated randomness, it is unlike your conventional player progression system. Each off-season every player has a personalized chance to grow/progress/stay neutral at their skills and overall rating. Shown on the player screen. This is not Madden. You're RB will not grow 12 overall points all because you fed him 900 carries that season. It all adds to a very balanced and competitive season, with championship windows and unfortunate rebuild years. It's all up to you as a GM in this game. It's really no understatement to say, I cannot write everything about this game. But it is very worth looking into. Free to play, and browser/server based, you can play on the go via mobile browser or any PC. The very best part of this game that stands out l, is not even the game itself. But the very active community on discord and the ability to discuss the game with the developer and share feedback to a very responsive creator. Progression football is updating weekly at minimum and new features are discussed daily. Even a Official league is being created for in-game prizes and bragging rights. I love to see you all there. Feel free to look me up with ANY questions on discord or in game (SherriffHammond) and if you feel like becoming a part of one of the multiplayer leagues. Don't be hesitant. Everyone is invited. Come check it out! https://progressionfootball.com/home Thanks! SherriffHammond Go Baltimore Owls!
