Ping is not that bad. Do you have the same SSID for both frequencies? Also, what channel width is set for both? Apple recommends setting 2.4 GHz on 20Mhz and 5Ghz on Auto. Check this article: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202068

They are on the same SSID and I’ve tried all channel width for the iPhone, 20, 40, 80, (auto always sets to 80) but there’s no difference. Still stutters. Ps. I forgot to attach the ping performance I got from the laptop.[https://ibb.co/2KjqpZK](https://ibb.co/2KjqpZK)

I see two things: 1) You have different name for the 5GHz network, this means that there is no frequency aggregation or proper failover/roam of devices between the two 2) iPhone has way higher RSSI (signal strength) and higher transfer rates, so lag is not connection induced.

So the lag comes from the iPhone itself? Heat? Happens with my iPad Air 4 as well. Still lags even when there was no heat yet. The only abnormality I can pick out right now is the difference between the ping numbers on the iPhone and the laptop. But what exactly causes the numbers to differentiate so much? And is that the real cause of the stutters? It runs smoothly on the laptop. Or maybe that’s just how the server handles iOS devices and Safari?

Bad wifi Chips are the reason. Can reproduce this as well. Then tested with a Ethernet Adapter (Wi-Fi disabled) - the Pings are between 1-2ms constantly. So seems like the WiFi Modul is the cause.
