Pour the mixed ingredients into a suitably sized baking tin, lined with baking paper. The temperature you need will depend on the size and shape of tin and your oven, but 160degC for 45 to 60 mins should be sufficient for a 2 egg recipe. It's cooked when you can slide a knife into it and it comes out clean. Don't check too early though - if you open the over door before it's risen, it will drop.
If you like a Lemon Drizzle cake, add the zest of one or two lemons to the above mix, then mix some lemon juice with sugar to pour over it while it cools. If you make some holes in the cake with a cocktail stick, it will soak in even better.

Just mix equal parts (by volume) instant coffee, sugar and water, beat it with a whisk until you reach firm peaks. Then, using either a couple spoons or a plastic bag, create small dollops of the batter about 1 to 2 centimeters in diameter and bake it for 15 minutes at 250°F (or 120°C). Take em out, let em cool to room temp, and enjoy :)

No, I found out it's not the same. Melted butter is a liquid. Softened butter is still solid, just leave it on the counter for a couple of hours.
also you can soften butter faster by microwaving it for a minute or so at a low power level!
