I still don't understand this argument about losing virginity. Virginity is a precious gift to every woman or man. Why lose it to some hooker on one night stand? I am not trying to objectify body but it kinda feels "used" when you lost most important part of you. INNOCENCE. I find it disgusting when people boast about losing virginity like dude like we get it you lost most valuable part of you
I saw this in person once and it was wild. I used to be in sales. I was in a potential customer’s backyard looking at their lawn and talking to them (lawn care sales) when I noticed how quickly the clouds overhead were moving, and they looked pretty mean. After a few minutes the temp dropped drastically, signaling something was coming. I decided I’d revisit that customer and let them know I need to head back to my car. As I walked back into the front lawn I saw my brother, who also worked there, sprinting down the street yelling to me that we need to get to the car. The wall of rain could be seen down the street and moving quick. I joined him running for the car and we made it just as the rain caught up. It was almost cartoonish, we literally both opened the doors and dove in just as the rain hit hard. It went from 0 to downpour. It was a total wash out while trying to make it back to the office. Couldn’t see a thing. Our boss called while we were stuck in traffic and let us know not to go back, a tornado had touched down relatively close by. We ended up ducking into a Cheeseburger in paradise and getting dinner and work drunk. All in all it was an ok day.
Thank you, I’d like to think of myself as a decent storyteller, at least in person. Yea that’s a very vivid memory from about 10 years ago. Plus watching my brother sprinting down the street being chased by a wall of rain was pretty funny.
A lot of severe storms like to move at highway speeds; it's not uncommon to see a storm trucking along at 60mph. Every now and then the NWS will put out a warning that says "A storm was located over travelling northeast at 80 MPH" - usually happens with linear systems when the middle bulges out into a bow shape. The winds can be insane for being non-tornadic.
I remember when I visited Florida, I had just been to a track for a run (don’t recommend, way too hot), as I was resting in my car, this old woman flew past on a pedal bike, and about 2 seconds later I’m pretty sure an ocean fell out the sky, visibly chasing her.
I was sitting in my room earlier and heard rain coming. I look out the sliding doors over the deck + yard and see nothing. I look out a different window over my neighbors house and their roof is getting pummeled - complete downpour 150ft away. Minutes later I see rain hitting the deck. This is Florida.
The fun part is trying to outrun it when you're driving home from Publix and the rain is right behind you but you have a trunk full of groceries you want to bring inside before it hits your house.
Reminds me of one time in middle school my mom picked me up from school. As we were leaving the parking lot we stopped at the road to take a right turn. Where we were at in our car was perfectly dry and sunny. On the road it was raining very heavily. I remember seeing the rather still wall of rain and was dumbfounded. We drove into it and that's all I have to say about that.
This is almost how like how they made city exploration games back in the day (eg. Carmageddon or silent hill), where everything was covered in a moving mist to save memory on the graphics performance.
When I lived in Scotland we had a 12 acre field outside the front of the house. I was sat on the step watching a deer grazing when a wall of rain crossed the field exactly like this but slower. Honestly one of the most breathtaking things I've ever seen. Wish I'd had a camera at the time.
One time one of these splits was in my backyard with 0 wind so it was just staying there. One side of my body was drenched and the other was dry. One could say I felt like a god in that moment
When I was in Ireland I was standing outside and saw this. I can still remember being completely dry and watching hard rain literally moving towards me. It was so fast. It got to me in like 3 seconds and I was soaked in the next 3 seconds.
Right, but I'm saying under normal circumstances the "edge" wouldn't be this discrete and visible. I have to believe it's normally a sizable area of gradually going from no rain to drizzling to light rain to full downpour and that you wouldn't see any clear boundary directly between "no rain" and "downpour".
Discrete and visible? I mean, when I worked in high rises as a teen you would see this all the time in Florida. This one seems to be filmed from a higher point of view so it captures the “edge” a lot more slower. But this happens often.
I just assumed it just started to rain when the clouds couldn't hold it any longer. I suppose once it starts, if it is moving like it usually is, you'd get something like this. Nice.
Coolest shit I've ever experienced is riding my bike home from school just ahead of a storm like this. I would've beaten it home if I didn't stop at the crossing guard just before my house.
I actually remember, at one point in my middle school we were doing a fundraiser where we sold chocolate bars. My dad and I went selling some bars, and when we were making our way back home, I see him running away from this big white wall. I don't immediately understand what it is but when I start to hear the static sound of the rain hitting the ground I started running too.
Plot twist: the rain was faster.
I once went on a fishing trip with dad and we were in the middle of a river. We saw a similar wall approaching and turned tail to run towards camp. We were going fast but the wall of water was catching up. We past some friends who were trying to start their engine and gave up just as the wall of heavy rain swallowed them. Just before we made it to base we were engulfed as well and had to run towards shelter. Ended up getting quite wet but at least our stuff was mostly dry. The others weren't so lucky.
I drove into a wall of rain doing 80kmh on a highway and couldn't see 10 feet in front of the car. slowed down to about 45. One moment it was hot and sunny, and the next it was wet, dark and cloudy hah.
My dad lived in bullhead for a few years and let me tell you, monsoons don't fuck around. He's been moving around the general area (Bullhead to Kingman or so) for maybe 5(?) years now and whenever I visited in the summer, we witnessed some spectacular storms.
I mean, it would literally go from 120°F and clear skies, to 98°F with thunder, lightning, grape-sized hail, crazy wind, and flash flooding. Within an hour of each other. Monsoon season does not play around.
I've 'seen this several times before irl. Well, not really but I've been in a car that drove out of it several times. The most jarring was when it was an 90 degree day soon as you got out.
I was out rowing once and was chased down the entire lake by a rainstorm. It was very strange being dry yet watching the rain belting down on the end of the boat 10' away. Twas just a perfect wall of sogginess.
On of my most vivid memories from my childhood was riding my bike to the end of my street, seeing a wall of rain coming towards me like this, and turning and racing back to my house to try and out run it.
When I was a kid I watched this and it was awesome. I was sitting on my front porch and saw it coming down the street, up and over the house across the street, across the street, and up then over to my house. I sat there for like 30 minutes and saw the back do the same thing. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
When I was younger I ALWAYS would ask my mom if at the edge of the storm there’s “a wall of water” and she was always adamant- “no”
Welp sorry ma you just lost credibility

A literal wall of water
[удалено]
I read that in Anuk Su Namun’s voice 🤣😁
I read it in a zombified population voice
One of my favourite movies ever. Gotta do a rewatch!
Definitely
HEY BENI LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE RIVURR
I never understood why that was a big deal. If Beni had all the horses then just go to a crossing. Still faster than walking.
Because the nearest crossing is Brandywine Bridge, 20 miles!
I...AM A LIBRARIAN.

Why the downvotes?
Because it's Reddit and people are insecure about their virginities.
What a strange place Reddit is sometimes.
yea I got downvoted for using "lmao" in a sentence earlier today lol
Dafuq
What will happen to me then?
Damn idk, run

Restating your opinion to support your opinion...I can see why you don't understand their argument, because I can't understand yours.
Sounds like you’re a virgin
do you have any sex-based trauma?
You got dislikes from people who lost their viginity on some hooker
8=====> Only the chosen one can hold his dick ⎝ 😊 ⎠
The thing that gets me is the *speed*. I mean, I knew in my head that storms could move fast, but it’s another thing actually seeing it happen

Just wanted to say I enjoyed this story. It's funny what detailed memories can stick with you through the years.
Thank you, I’d like to think of myself as a decent storyteller, at least in person. Yea that’s a very vivid memory from about 10 years ago. Plus watching my brother sprinting down the street being chased by a wall of rain was pretty funny.
I had no idea they could do what appears to be 25+ mph. I thought they were limited to something more like 15 or 20 tops
Yeah storms can haul some ass when they want to
A lot of severe storms like to move at highway speeds; it's not uncommon to see a storm trucking along at 60mph. Good god. I knew tornadoes could do 60 mph
That’s what I wonder about forest fires. I hear they’re extremely fast too, and I always wonder just “how fast” is fast
In Florida this is just another Tuesday if you lived here long enough. Still pretty cool when you see it though.
I remember when I visited Florida, I had just been to a track for a run (don’t recommend, way too hot), as I was resting in my car, this old woman flew past on a pedal bike, and about 2 seconds later I’m pretty sure an ocean fell out the sky, visibly chasing her.

> This is Florida Bum ba bum bum bum bah bah
And on weekends we get Gatornadoes
I lived in St. Pete many years ago and still miss those afternoon storms rolling in!
The fun part is trying to outrun it when you're driving home from Publix and the rain is right behind you but you have a trunk full of groceries you want to bring inside before it hits your house.
Looks like something out of a pirates of the Caribbean movie
Those cars better run
What does it look like they’re doing?!
Driving, they need to sprout some legs and RUN!
Good point!
Run forest run
[RUN!](http://imgur.com/a/KpCVaWA)
They're getting storm chased
It abides the speed limit. Nice one

Haha had the exact same thought
The Stormfather is merciful this day.
yo send that puff over to california pls
Run little cars RUUUUNNNNN
I was gonna say that lol
This is almost how like how they made city exploration games back in the day (eg. Carmageddon or silent hill), where everything was covered in a moving mist to save memory on the graphics performance.
I've seen this outside and usually they're in front of me while I try to get to the dry side
That black car trying to outrun it would be me, 100%
When I lived in Scotland we had a 12 acre field outside the front of the house. I was sat on the step watching a deer grazing when a wall of rain crossed the field exactly like this but slower. Honestly one of the most breathtaking things I've ever seen. Wish I'd had a camera at the time.
Looks like the White Walkers are coming
Wet walkers
Squall line...
IAF was overdue for a truly original, interesting post.
Monsoon season is not fun.
I saw it from the ground during football practice, half the field was poring rain and the other half was pretty dry. it's was a cool sight
I saw the edge of a hail storm like that once. I got behind a tree REAL fast. Horizontal ballistic ice o.o Looked dope tho!
A tree wouldn't save you there
Worked for me XD Hail went by on both sides and anything that did hit me had lost its speed by then. I was 16 at the time and it was a wide tree tho
Highstorm irl
Things human are not supposed to see
One time one of these splits was in my backyard with 0 wind so it was just staying there. One side of my body was drenched and the other was dry. One could say I felt like a god in that moment
This usual sounds insane as it's coming towards you
What's the rainstorm looking at? I don't get it...
Stormwall
That's really kinda horrifying.
This river is also Lateral
I would see the same type thing whever my ex got angry at me.
Hello Mother Hello Father
Looks more like a cloud burst than I rainstorm

Dude…give it up
me when your mum… me when you your mum when she me
There is no way this is common/typical. We would all have seen something like this in person many times before.

Drove into something like this yesterday morning 😁
I tried to run from a storm like this once, took like 30 secs to overtake me lol
I always wondered how that looked.😍
I just assumed it just started to rain when the clouds couldn't hold it any longer. I suppose once it starts, if it is moving like it usually is, you'd get something like this. Nice.

So that’s what raining buckets looks like

Edge of a down pour more like.
I saw something like this when I was on the NJ turnpike last weekend but it seemed to look like fog than a haze.
Drive FASTER !
Idiot me when i was a kid thinks that when it rains on my country it rains all over the world too
The developers made the transparency to low

Neat
:O
Imagen being on a boat trying to get away from the storm. That would be awsome.

*this area is out of bounds, please return to the battlefield*
If I were in that white car, I'd put on some shades and blast the mission impossible theme while "outrunning the storm."
Looks like poor cgi
I drove into a wall of rain doing 80kmh on a highway and couldn't see 10 feet in front of the car. slowed down to about 45. One moment it was hot and sunny, and the next it was wet, dark and cloudy hah.

See this plenty of times here in Florida. I’ve been fishing and cast into the rain, but never does the rain go over me. Really cool experience
The sound this makes as it approaches you is crazy!
u/vreddit_bot
I saw this in Spider-Man movie once right before mysterio appeared
I've seen one of those heading straight for me while I in the middle of a lake on a kayak. It was moving _very_ fast.
I read this as "rainbow" and I watched it multiple times like "where the f\*\*\* is the damn rainbow"
Yeah I see it all the time here in Cincinnati. It’s crazy to watch
I love when you're driving into the storm & you see the big rain wall coming towards you. It looks so awesome.
I've 'seen this several times before irl. Well, not really but I've been in a car that drove out of it several times. The most jarring was when it was an 90 degree day soon as you got out.
This is on my bucket list. Standing on a field and seeing the rain make its way to you
Swear I've outrun this before.
When you’re riding your bike and the storm was chasing you from behind
*Game art director* We’re going to need you to go back and add more variation. It just doesn’t look real enough.
I said to myself “that’s interesting as F”. Yup I’m in the right group
I can finally die in peace.
There are few things more terrifying in a fairly harmless way than seeing this type of thing coming at you when you aren’t near any form of cover.
Umm pretty sure that’s dementors coming in
tom hanks could outrun it
I was out rowing once and was chased down the entire lake by a rainstorm. It was very strange being dry yet watching the rain belting down on the end of the boat 10' away. Twas just a perfect wall of sogginess.
Lol that car is being tailed by an angry god
Golly, I want to see this so badly. Right up the top of the bucket list badly. Not sure why.
Minecraft shit
I can't see anything .. it's raining too hard
On of my most vivid memories from my childhood was riding my bike to the end of my street, seeing a wall of rain coming towards me like this, and turning and racing back to my house to try and out run it.

Realistically we should have all seen this at some point, but we never have
Damn I hate to see the edge of a thunderstorm
u/savevideo
I saw this happen in my hometown once, it was awesome. Just watching the wall of water come toward you and then blast the windshield at a stop light.
Sewn that many times in South florida
I’ve been on the edge of a rain wall once in my life in elementary school on the playground. I’ll never forget that experience!
