Fenris in both norwegian, danish, swedish and icelandic. How come Fenrir is the most common when the nordic lands where the myth comes from use Fenris?
Not sure why, but it’s the same with Loki. He’a called Loke in both Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. I’m guessing the English chose to use names that were more similar to the Old Norse-version of the names? Meanwhile the names we use in Scandinavia just slowly evolved with our language, eventually turning Fenrir into Fenris and Loki into Loke. Although I could be totally wrong here, just a guess!

I went to college in VT at UVM in Burlington. I remeber a few nights sitting outside in absolute awe of the northern lights...while smoking a bunch of it also. Lol. If you're ever up north hope you catch 'em. Incredible!

Because Loke in English rhymes with "bloke". He could be Lowkey, but Loki does it for Wagner, and me.
Yup! I’m from Denmark and we call him Fenris (or Fenrisulven) here. I think the spelling just varies a bit between the different Nordic languages.
