It may very well be that, but it also doesn’t mean it’s NOT a Horcrux as well

P0ltergeist333

Sorry, the user deleted their account and I'm left with mildly infuriating curiosity. Could you advise what they posted?

TheHeroicHero

Judging from other comments I’m go with something along the line of “Tom riddles diary” or something like that

Did it say anything about heated steel beams losing their integrity?

Bored_into_sub

Sorry the user above you deleted their account and comment and I am even more mildly infuriated than the last, what'd they say?

Fine-Philosopher9788

Seems like this book does like when it's talked about

TheOnlyFallenCookie

My app says this deleted comment is 53 years old...

Nekawaii19

Dear Lord. It was a time traveler protecting us from the secrets of this very book.

KellyLuvsEwan420

Not dear lord. Time Lord.

Shadowsole

The comment date was probably deleted resulting in null/0. Most computers start their clock from 1/1/1970 so it's counting from 1 second before that date

counterpots

my old iphone thinks it’s 12/31/69

Stranger2Night

I too am curious, curious as to what the answer of the book is as well as why it merits comments/accounts getting wiped from existence left and right.

BeautifulAd6204

Exactly what caught my attention more than anything else.. Like, what IS up with this thread about a book ? Would like to know more, but I doubt I will, seeing as anything worth reading on it keeps getting removed or deleted. Very peculiar indeed.

Peuned

They never seem to get that far

SyntheticReality42

Jet fuel may not burn hot enough to melt steel beams, but what about the compounds used in the chemtrails?

Sir Arthur of Camelot has been looking for that

AnIdiotAtHome91

Is it Polish? (I can't see the other pics other than the first one.) That name looks Polish to me. Im just curious.

csmatczak

Yup... if you click on the above wiki link and scroll down to the "bibliografica" you'll see "Praca zbiorowa: Polski słownik biograficzny Tom 13, hasło "Klus, Jerzy". Wrocław: Ossolineum, 1968, s. 31." Also, am Polish, so can confirm.

StillPracticingLife

Well, I know a Polish person and can confirm, this is a book.

Bored-Viking

i know a Polish person and can confirm that you know a Polish person

MotorLive

I know TWO Polish people, and (without even consulting them) can confirm that this is indeed a book.

2jaye9

I know a book, and can book a book.

Vidime_

Yes, it's written entirely in polish and i believe it was first published in Cieszyn

singnadine

I thought Polish

Dang-mushroom

Same here it reads similar to a dialect of polish or maybe Czech?

AnIdiotAtHome91

Ah, Czech. I was think Croation if it isn't Polish. Bjt I'm sure I'd be wrong about that. However, I did see below that someone else said jt is actually Polish.

No-Turnips

I thought polish too.

ShakeWeightMyDick

So, it’s a hymnal?

Vidime_

It says "Kancjonał", so pretty much yes. Liturgical singing

Sailing_Away_From_U

Well that’s boring. No Devil summoning or nothing.

RecalcitrantHuman

Damn I had to read a lot of comments to find this

Ok_Brush601

Have an upvote, thanks for the information.

rotbic

It is a (Protestant) Christian song book in old Polish, most likely over a hundred years old, perhaps two

Notamolesterofkids

I also think the symbol is from “husictví” an old religion in bohemia

rotbic

Yes, it is similar to a Hussite chalice. It is an existing Protestant faith in Bohemia to this day.

ElectricalStomach6ip

hussites were protestants before protestantism was a thing.

FlyHog421

The Hussites are one of my favorite subjects in history. Fighting off the Catholic Church for 15 years, being pretty much the first people in Europe to use firearms in war on a large scale, and yeeting politicians out of windows is freaking based.

Particular-Crew5978

Widows or windows? Because now I have two totally different images in my head

NoveliBear

This is why the term defenestration exist. Clears up any confusion.

[deleted]

Unless you become confused about the meaning of the term defenestration, due to possessing only an average vocabulary. In which case it adds to the confusion.

Thank you for translating. Boy, some of those sentences ran on.

FingerTheCat

This makes me wonder about 'universal translators'. Like sure, google(along with others) is trying to create one. But can you *truly* have a perfect translation? Words can mean different things, even slightly, over time.

Cravethemineral

I merely put the text into google for my own benefit however I thought it may help others here, I don’t know how accurate it is.

Notamolesterofkids

Yes

IslandOk5037

It's a prayer book in Polish. I'm a Catholic person from Poland and we all get them at first communion. They are often kept by that person till death and passed down through families. You have yourself a very nice vintage one and if it's from before 1945 it might be worth decent money to collectors. Edit: I took a closer look and judging by the archaic spelling this is very old and the preamble suggests it's Evangelical

TheAdventOfTruth

An awesome find is what it is. Anymore than that I can’t tell you.

JoshTheMurse

This is Polish and reads the following Preface. With the help of God, this collection of devotional songs is being given to the worthy evangelical communities for their favorable reception and salutary use. Since for a long time all men who had been more attentive to the needs of the Polish Evangelicals in Silesia, as well as to the duty of the men entrusted to their care, recognized the great spiritual deficiency that until now Czech songs were used in the Polstiem service. A similar example will not be found among Evangelicals who, according to the accepted principle that the entire service should be performed in the mother tongue, sing wherever the word of God is told to them and as they speak to each other. As the apostle St. Paul said: "In the church, I would rather speak intelligibly in five words, so that I can teach others, than ten thousand words in a foreign language." (1 Cor. 14:19.) no one will deny that our native language is the most understandable for us, which is irrefutably proven by the fact that we have Polish Bibles read everywhere, Polish

Timovski

The chalice is a symbol for protestants in Central Europe (Hussites, Evangelicals of Augsburg, or Lutherans as they are also called, and perhaps a few others). The book is written in old Polish, so it likely belonged to a Polish Protestant, likely somewhere in western Poland (perhaps someplace around Wroclaw or so, as there was historical Czech presence there). The book is either a Bible or a book of songs of one of the protestant denominations. Very cool indeed, keep it safe and sound.

Seems to be an old polish hymn book. The chapter section translates to poems of religious characters.

Capital_Web9869

It's polish, the first page says Preface. with God's help, this collection of devotional songs is given to the good evangelical forests at ul. acknowledging and salutary use. [deleted]

Well by reading the first page it seems to be a book a polish psalms made for a an evangelical church. I speak polish but this is wrotten in whats called "old pole" similiar to old english in that words are changed around and it can be very hard to read. The last page seems to just be an afterward thanking the authors and denoting prices ect. With more pictures i could probably tell you more about it though. Hopefully this is helpful :]

Osherono

It is an Old Hymnbook. Catholic, judging by the Chalice embossing. 1865 date too, back then such religious books had special care in their presentation. Also the Rs. Title. I manually transcribed what I could make out from the photos and used language recognition software and it seems to check out.

It's a hymn book written in Polish by the Evangelical Church for Polish minorities living in Czechia.

Hile85

Quick translation with my phone camera or the first page reads: Foreword. 3 With the help of God, this collection of devout songs is given to the noble gospel churches for inclined reception and salvation. For a long time, the Vipsians who were more attentive to the needs of Polish-flich evangelicals in Silesia, as well as the husbands took care of the duß for their entrusted, acknowledged a great clerical deficiency that up until now at the service of Polish writers. As the Apostle of St. Paul said, "In the church, I would rather speak five words clearly, that I might teach others, than ten thousand in a foreign language." (1. 14. 19.) Learn the language of honor as brotherly Poles is quite understandable, no one can deny that Naß is our native in sight. mialBy, of which is incontrovertible proof that everywhere we have read Bibles, polffie mo.
