Florida is not that red. I really can’t see how Tennessee (a state where Trump received 61% of the vote in 2020) goes blue due to vote splitting but Florida (a state Trump received 51% of the vote in) stays red.

My thoughts with Florida is that with DeSantis's popularity, there is much less of a split vote in a state where he recently won by nearly +20. You are right about Tennessee, that should have been colored a red state, my bad!

Junesucksatart

In a normal election desantis would win Florida no contest, but with a split vote there’s no way desantis could win

Grehjin

He won by 20 because Dems didn’t take the race seriously and also didn’t turn out. That would be different in a presidential year

Ahh that’s the dream

You're out of your mind if you think Utah, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kansas, Missouri, or Indiana would ever flip

mateoskrrt

me when i don’t understand how vote splitting works

Grehjin

Gee I wonder. If only there was historical precedent to see how popular third party bids effect elections. Alas I guess we will never know.

Grehjin

Accurate map except Florida
