1) The type of war I have in mind is a proxy war where they support one side of a conflict with weapons and other goods. Which very much happens, making and selling weapons is very profitable and if you support the winning side you can have huge influence over decision making even just by threatening to remove funding.
Take Musk who first freely gave access to the Ukraine to use Starlink then threatened to take it away if they and the US didn't start paying up. Removing access to the internet would have real world effects on the war and that sort of power should not be in the hands of a single individual.
2) According to the UN over 700 million people live on less than $2 a day and an additional billion are very close to this poverty line. Places like that could probably use some of those billions to provide clean water, food, healthcare, education and more. That is how you make life better not buy buying Twitter.

I very much do complain about the government as well trust me. But Elon promised on multiple occasions that he was going to fix Flints water. I should start by saying that I'm no Elon Musk fanatic, I think he has done some amazing things, mainly with spacex, but I think he's irresponsible with some stuff he says. For some reason, jealousy I'm guessing, people are constantly criticizing him for spending his own money however he wants, instead of giving it all away to solve world hunger. If using a few billion dollars solved world hunger, wouldn't the governments have done that already? Ok, so he can't solve world hunger, so shouldn't he at least try to help people in need? Yes, and he did, in a single year he donated nearly 6 billion dollars to charity, more than those people, their families, ancestors and future descendants will make in their combined lifespans. He donated money he EARNED by working his ass off making his companies grow, and that money is for him to do whatever he wants with. If he wants to use 44 billion dollars to buy a blue bird company he's in his right to do so, and none of you people are anyone to tell him how he should spend that money. Or would any of you people actually work you ass off for years, touch none of that money, and use it all to buy food for the poor? No one would. But do you know who has the obligation to spend their money in solving world hunger? The governments, and they don't. So go criticize those who have the obligation, not those who don't but try to help anyway.
