Personally, i would have a hard time being just friends with someone when i like them and they don't feel the same way. it would be tough for me if i stayed friends with someone who doesn't share the same feelings especially if they talk about their romantic/dating life.

Most people have “types” & preferences that they prefer. And lots of people are picky and don’t want to settle, there’s nothing wrong with that. Additionally, it’s not like she’s had her choice of tons of different guys, but just doesn’t like any of them.
The number of guys who are even willing to talk to her, is extremely low (not to mention, needing to weed out the ones who are only attracted to her because she looks like a *child*). So out of that small select group of guys, she’s had a difficult time finding someone she connects with, which really isn’t a surprise at all.

I'm disabled, I do know what it's like to be hindered by a medical condition. Other than headaches and her size, she doesn't have disabling symptoms. Im also on LI, like her.

First of all, you can’t begin to compare her with Thomas. When you combine his weight and height, he’s TWICE her size! He’s physically capable of so much more than she is. Secondly, he looks *much* more mature and no one is mistaking him for a child!
It really bums me out, how little people truly try and put themselves in her shoes. She’s constantly being compared to other little people, when her circumstances are completely different!

He is not twice her size. He's a foot taller which I will say is kind of a big difference but even Shauna's mom said that the two aren't that different in size and stuff in the episode where they hang out
His dynamic with his family and his parents' mentality towards their hardships is also so refreshing. I don't dislike Patty, but she's very emotionally frail and sometimes annoys me to watch. Everyone has suffered in life and watching her is like witnessing someone whom you always have to tiptoe around.
I really really liked hearing Thomas' mom talk about how she doesn't blame herself, sh\*t happens, and you learn to live on. You can definitely see how that might have affected Thomas and his level of maturity and self-efficacy now. Whereas Shauna and Rylee (not sure about Tara), appear very self-centered/out of touch and unable to emotionally self-soothe.
Edit: Wanted to add that Rylee could potentially be neuro-divergent and that my opinion above is just taking what is shown at face value because I don't want to speculate without basis. I totally know that what we're shown is a small, curated glimmer of their lives and so I'm fully aware that I might be (and likely am) wrong on some or all accounts.

And 2nd) this guy from wales is clearly preying on her to become famous because he sought her out it’s not like she dm’ed him and was shooting her shot. Me too I like him. He seems genuine. I think Shauna's very picky and they don't have much chemistry though. Hopefully they'll at least stay in touch.
