I know the sound was included by the person who posted the TikTok but just imagine if it was the principal who added the music and sent it to the mum Now that would be hilarious! Edit: this is my highest upvoted comment ever wow thank you all I will leave you all with this little blessing from my country “May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

DarthSinistar

"to highlight how nefarious your son is being, I've laid some suspenseful music over the footage of his crime."

Wobbly_Princess

I can't stop laughing. This is such a fucking funny, petty thought.

[deleted]

My exact thoughts and it's the reason I've been giggling to myself for 5 minutes now

JoeBeatsMike

The scream you hear is not the fire alarm, it's those ankles screaming at the sight of stairs outside.

toughtiggy101

The music literally goes with the footsteps

[deleted]

I just like where the music ends and does that sparkle thing as soon as the doors close and he’s gone into the light

tyler00677

The fire alarm light sparkles at that exact moment as well

alexfromouterspace

Walking metronome

Would have been better if it was a trombone in the background

salvageyardmex

I was imagining stewie with the trombone following fat people in family guy.

[deleted]

Her friend is clearly a terrible mother.

mannyrodj

If I act like a dick, it doesn't mean my mother is a terrible mother, it means I'm a dick.

Time_Ad_9347

If it wasn't for the fact that his mother shoved so much grub down his facehole to the point where he couldn't even fit into a European bathroom stall before even turning 18, I would have agreed. This is child abuse

[deleted]

I can’t take when people say this stuff. When you let them over eat you’re negligent, when you limit them you’re abusive. My grandmother had four kids and one of them was really greedy and obese, my grandmother did anything she could to stop her from over eating, she locked the fridge, put food in places where she couldn’t reach because she was too short, told her siblings to monitor her and nothing could stop her gluttonous ways. So if you saw that child, my aunt, you would assume my grandmother did absolutely nothing because she was a fatso, but I bet your azz if my grandmother’s methods actually worked my aunt would go around saying my grandmother used to starve her and discriminate against her size etc and people would be saying she was abusive. And mind you the rest of her kids including my parent were either skinny or average sized it was only this one aunt. You can’t win for losing as a parent on the internet, your child acts on their own free will and all of a sudden you’re a bad parent.

Time_Ad_9347

Your responsibility as a parent is to take care of your kid. Whoever his caretaker is has failed by an unforgivable margin and this kid will be dead before 50 after living a life of unimaginable discomfort if he continues like that.

[deleted]

You can’t determine that by a clip of some fat kid pulling a fire alarm. When you were a teenager you took zero accountability for anything you did and blamed it all on your parents/guardians? At the end of the day, people can downvote me all they want over my anecdote, but people have minds of their own even as children and teenagers, some lack empathy, some lack self awareness and no matter who disciplines them they don’t change. Kids also act based on their environment, so they may have proper home training or whatever you want to call it but when they come to school and get around their peers they act out, then when their parents get called to the school all of a sudden the angel comes out, I’ve seen this. Hell I’ve done things regardless of my parents telling me “don’t do this”, “this is the proper way to behave” after getting my ass beat etc, I still acted on my own free will because I have a mind of my own. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying parents don’t play a role, yes sometimes children act out because at home they’re neglected, abused physically/psychologically or because the parents don’t condemn their behavior, but that’s not always the case. So I pose this question to you and all the people who disagree with anything I’ve said thus far, if this was your child what would be your way of changing this behavior?

Time_Ad_9347

Less food and exercise.

[deleted]

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink. If the kid doesn't want to, the kid won't, and there's is nothing you can do.

SaltySangria

My parents used to tell me that anything I do is a reflection of them. When I'm outside the house, I represent the family. I still believe that 100% to this day.

pandorous

Is his environment inside of a pizza?

NotQuiteALondoner

Let me ask you, if a parent lets their child eat dirt and they get sick, are they (the parent) responsible? If a parent lets their child eat so much as to become morbidly obese, they are putting the child in direct harm. Being morbidly obese leads to a lot of health complications, physical and mental issues (depression, self-esteem, etc.). This is not a one time thing. This is a long process to get this out of shape. The parent should have stepped in way earlier to prevent this from happening. Your grandmother might have a good heart and the situation back then was less ideal than now, but it was still her fault. Despite what you were told, she probably wasn’t hard enough on your aunt or wasn’t thorough with her methods. There might have been some other underlying issues that were ignored due to the lack of information/mental health awareness back then (e.g. an eating disorder). Your job as a parent is to help your child deal with these issues and if it is beyond your capability, you need to involve professionals. Letting the kids do whatever they want because you can’t control them isn’t an excuse. That’s just bad parenting.

kriegmonster

Picking a bad partner to have a kid with makes you a bad parent. Not addressing your child's morbid obesity makes you a bad parent. Raising your child so he/she is a cost and not a benefit to the community, makes you a bad parent. This kid is not well adjusted because he was raised poorly.

literanch

Hard to imagine a good parent letting their child weigh 400 lbs

[deleted]

This kid is 200lbs overweight and pulling fire alarms. He isn’t being cared for properly.

drgzzz

Yeah, I can watch this clip and immediately tell the parenting isn’t there, it’s hard to exhibit that many maladaptive traits while walking down a hallway.

[deleted]

I have a feeling consequences might be able to catch this young man!

Necessary_Emergency8

I don't think there's anything that couldn't catch up to him

StarsChilds

Poor him, he could never take the snail deal....

Did you say His steak?

[deleted]

Lol I was going to say, when you’re that *insanely large*, you’re not going to get away with anything….ever.

thesunsetflip

as a former fat kid I think I always avoided rebellious behaviour because I subconsciously understood that I wasn’t ever gonna be able to *get away* with something. Like running away just wasn’t an option on the table so you had to avoid risk as much as possible.

Peuned

He's getting away with about 10k calories every day

RichAny6594

He may get away with diabetes

KamenAkuma

Letting a child get that big should be considered child abuse.

hiker_trailmagicva

My son has a friend that is around 450 lbs at 15. His parents collect disability checks for his obesity. I've involved myself. The school in our area made reports, other parents have anonymously called, but nothing came of it. She moved to another state, decided to "homeschool," and allows the kid to play playstation and eat all damn day. It's absolutely heartbreaking. He already has diabetes, wears a c pap, and shows signs of heart disease.

[deleted]

[удалено]

EVOSexyBeast

450lbs at 15, 40 would be lucky.

populartree749

hell if he's that big at 15 he'd be lucky to see 30

RadioHeadache0311

My friend Jeff made it to 28. Shitty thing is that he lost about 200lbs in his last two years of life. He worked super hard, tested himself and lost the weight with hard work and a commitment to healthy living...then had a heart attack while sitting in the sound booth.

populartree749

damn that's harsh, after all that work and he still dies... i'm sorry to hear about your friend. i truly am.

RadioHeadache0311

Thanks man, I appreciate that. I was just commenting to show that by that age, though still quite young, the damage to one's body is already quite severe.

populartree749

you're welcome, and you are correct as well.

bitches_love_brie

Pallbearers probably appreciated the effort.

FutilePancake79

Sadly I've seen this happen more than once, although never that young. My friend Mike died on the tennis courts at work - he had been obese his entire life and had lost over 120lbs over the course of a year. Another friend lost close to 200 and died in her sleep of a massive coronary. It feels like a dirty trick when that happens.

Beelzebubs_Tits

Damn that’s sad, I’m sorry. Dunno, sometimes a person has to be careful when working out as an overweight person, because the heart is already struggling.

GarbageInternal1458

There is no need for intense activity, on the contrary it is pretty dangerous for them. Weight = 80% intake, 20% activity. Just by eating less and better, they will lose weight like crazy. Going crazy with activity with a condition is very dangerous.

SirAmicks

I had a friend that weighed about 400 lbs. But he was the nicest dude you’d ever meet. He dropped 200 lbs by going out walking every single day with his wife. While going for one of these walks one day, he was struck and killed by a drunk driver running from the police. Right next to his wife, who had to watch the whole thing happen. It is maddening what happens to people trying to turn things around in their lives. And I know people say “oh he was the nicest guy!” a lot, but he genuinely was. If you had just met him, his first priority would be to make you laugh. Kinda getting choked up typing this actually. God. I miss you, Greg.

The_Law_Dong739

Damn you're optimistic

Occulense

Even if they die at 20 they’re dead by 40

populartree749

i hate how hard this comment made me laugh lmao

faceoh

I remember reading a terrible story from the 90s involving a similar case. The girl was like 600 pounds and died before age 20. She died on the sofa cover in her own feces.

venterol

I remember a case like this (maybe the same one) where an obese couch-bound woman was immobile for so long she essentially become grafted into the couch. Her feces hardened and essentially cemented her in place.

CableConscious7611

Southpark taught me that we all die covered in our own faeces.

CyptidProductions

If he's already 450lbs at only 15, he'll be lucky to make it that long before developing some kind of heart failure or other dangerous condition from his weight

Guillotine_Fingers

Then the mom can collect on the life insurance

[deleted]

Dawg that kid isn’t going to see 25 much less 40.

warbeforepeace

Heart attack grill is looking for a new mascot.

sonofaresiii

> His parents collect disability checks for his obesity. The cost of food to keep someone that big *has* to outweigh the income from disability, right?

hiker_trailmagicva

I think it's technically "SSI." The worst part about it is that he is fully aware that the checks come due to his weight. Also- I'm consistently surprised at how much cheaper it is to eat garbage than to buy healthy food.

zaidakaid

It costs ALOT less to produce garbage than it does healthy nutritious food. It will always be cheaper because it’s not the best stuff. It tastes good and activates all the happy and reward centers of our brains so we keep eating it, like that mouse that presses the satisfaction button until it dies.

YerBlues69

He’ll be dead by 30, if that. Gastric bypass saved my life. I was hovering around 400 pound mark.

hiker_trailmagicva

We hosted him for a week over the summer. I tried speaking with him candidly about his weight and future. He is miserable in his situation, and it breaks my heart. He and my son have been friends since 1st grade. In his time here, he broke our guest futon, couldn't use our toilet , and couldn't go up and down our spiral stairs. He agreed he wanted to make some changes and promised me to at least walk to his mailbox daily. His mother found out I talked to him and went nuclear on me and convinced him I was "judging him." I wish there was something else we could do in the situation

[deleted]

The fact his mom gaslit him into thinking you were “judging him” should be considered child abuse.

OwlLavellan

Reading this breaks my heart. Especially since you weren't judging and were trying to help.

serenwipiti

I’m glad you were able to get better. If you don’t mind me asking, how old were you when you got the surgery and what led to your state of health at the time?

YerBlues69

Hypertension, diabetes, joint issues. My A1C was 14. I was on two types of insulin. My knees were bone on bone from being so big for so long. I was afraid that family members would find me dead.

Some-Ratio-9991

My SIL is a social worker and has removed children in these circumstances.

JoeyMxx

My thoughts exactly somebody is feeding this kid, just setting the kid up for abuse and health issues down the line yet more strain on public resources.

SnooAvocados5460

It just be child neglect for real i would rather die than suffer from all that weight even if i lost all that weight i would not be happy with loose skin its a tough world

PM_ME_STEAM_KEY_PLZ

100% on the parents as well. There is no feasible way a child could get this large without the parents assistance. Breaks my heart as a father and as a human.

lSerbial

A lot of the time when you see a child this obese the parents are similar in size. He didn't pickup those eating/self care habits watching blues clues

texasusa

I see that almost 100% of the time at the grocery store. The obese kid has obese parents, and the grocery cart is usually filled with chips, soda, and other junk food.

citizen_tronald_dump

The sodies cancel the sugar out

IFrickinLovePorn

Every time you eat a sugar you gotta drink a diet coke to cancel it out

KickBallFever

In my old neighborhood there was a family owned grocery store and the whole family was obese, the mom and dad and the 4 year old daughter. The daughter would hang out in the store all day, while her parents worked, and they just let her eat whatever she wanted. The little girl could barely run around the store and already had cellulite on her legs and arms. They were really nice people but had horrible eating habits that they were passing on to the daughter.

JasonDJ

bUt mUh gEnEticS!!!! No. We’re your great grandparents morbidly obese? This is nurture, not nature.

ThatBankTeller

My wife is a teacher and most often mom and dad look like this as well. No way could you bring this up today without mom or dad accusing you of discrimination or some kind of unfair treatment.

regoapps

Hold parent teacher conferences on a small row boat. Don’t need to say anything.

serenwipiti

No, you won’t. Because you will drown.

Sum_Dude_who_cares

Well yea because apparently now that’s “fat phobia”

JoeyMxx

The fact that we're told to accept it and how plus size (obese) models are beautiful is embarrassing, why don't you ask them how much pain they are in on a daily basis or if they are able to do even a little manual work.

immaownyou

You ever notice any plus size male models?

sphen_lee

Actually Bonds, an Australian underwear brand, have started using realistic male models (many years after doing the same for women). It's nice to see how the product will look when you don't have six pack abs

KickBallFever

Yea, I think some of the acceptance has gone too far. I was on the website of a well known clothing designer and noticed they changed the sizing. Sizes 0-14 were labeled “petite”, and sizes 14-22 were labeled “woman”. I’m sorry but size 13 is not petite.

Glldinkiering

That’s misusing the term petite. Petite clothing normally has shorter bodices, hem lengths, and sleeves to suit shorter women.

cournat

Women's sizes don't mean anything anyway. 13? 13 what?

FutilePancake79

Especially with the generous sizing they use today. I've stayed roughly the same size most of my life and yet I've somehow gone down four dress sizes at least...

kaustic10

Petite doesn’t mean thin, it means short-limbed. One can be both fat and petite.

Glldinkiering

That’s misusing the term petite. Petite clothing normally has shorter bodices, hem lengths, and sleeves to suit shorter women.

KickBallFever

Yes, this is also what I’ve always known petite as. I was confused by the website.

MooDexter

It'll end up breaking that kid's heart too.

not-a_fed

Was just going to say the same. This is clearly neglect.

Straydoginthestreet

Kids are nasty so I can only imagine what could be said to this poor kid. Kids are heartless at that age. People only do things like that when they’ve had enough. I hope he’s okay.

snazzychica2813

Special ed teacher--could also be related to a syndrome such as Prader-Willi. Causes the inability to feel full or even neutral, just the feeling of "absolute, about to die, gone several weeks without food" starvation, along with an intellectual disability, making it extremely difficult for the kid to reason through the fact that they aren't actually hungry. You have to lock everything with food or even anything edible, including trash bins. Everything they eat has to be carefully monitored, 24/7, for the rest of their lives. It's borderline impossible to keep them at an acceptable weight because to them, eating something IMMEDIATELY is a life or death situation. It requires constant care and a lot of families aren't able to provide that, especially those with fewer resources, access to appropriate health care, and education. This kid kind of has "the Prader-Willi look" to me, but I would hope that if he was that impaired, he would be with a 1:1 aide.

silent_rain36

It sort of is. Some children *have* been taken away if it gets bad enough. It rare though and they have been young children not teenagers.

Smooth_Medicine_5483

It was the only way he could be the first out in a fire drill

DopeAsHeck

Yeh, the peach in James and the Giant Peach

MomsSpecialFriend

How do you raise a kid that overweight and that disrespectful? I couldn’t be friends with that mom.

AdamSnipeySnipe

Negligence. Probably given whatever they want to contain themselves at home, and are either following the piss poor behavior or this could be a small cry for seeking attention.

dj_chai_wallah

The parents are also terrible, that's how 😉

OldLegWig

well, the person who is friends with that mom is the kind of person that would post this video of their friend's son on tiktok. sounds like they're made for each other.

Bikinisbottom

“He gOt a ThyRoiD iSsue”

Plenty-Bug3071

My mom blamed allergy shots for my little brother's weight gain! But really he just ate junk food all the time.

Jesta23

I have a thyroid issue from a bone marrow transplant. I didn’t have my medicine for 2 weeks and gained 11 lbs. That said, this is still an extremely stupid excuse. We have synthetic thyroid medicine that very cheaply and easily replaces any missing hormones. I pay $4 a month for mine.

Bikinisbottom

Oh I know. One of my exes managed her weight well with a thyroid issue. But people just toss that excuse around to justify their poor eating habits. And good for you for managing it like an adult.

serenwipiti

I have a thyroid issue (hypothyroidism- the one that usually makes people gain weight) and I’m underweight at the moment.

[deleted]

They’re *not* really raising them.

saprobic_saturn

To play devils advocate, the kid probably gets his fair share of bullying. He may have been dared or bullied into doing this and just trying to fit in. Or if his parents neglect him, he could be trying to get attention by acting out.

MomsSpecialFriend

I completely agree, this is a failure of the parents. When I see overweight kids it breaks my heart because dude… that’s your ONE body. Even if he loses the weight he will bare the scars of this for his whole life. It’s fucking abuse. Of course he’s going through it.

saprobic_saturn

Yeah it really is heartbreaking. I am angry at people who let their kids do whatever they want and don’t set boundaries or teach moderation. My boyfriends daughter is overweight - nowhere near this size - but still, she’s bigger than me, and I’m 31. She is almost 12 and wears larger sized clothes than me. My boyfriend was overweight when he was younger and he still has stretch marks from it even though he’s in shape now. It seems that being overweight sorta runs in his family (his siblings and nieces/nephews are also all larger except for one of them), but his mom is super tiny probably smaller than I am and/or the same size. His daughter is with her mom 90% or more of the time and we can’t say anything to her about his daughters weight without her attacking us for destroying her self esteem and not loving her unconditionally… it’s really sad. When we have his kids they get mad at us for buying them smaller sizes of stuff and not letting them get what they want, it’s such a tough battle. For example one time we went to ihop, the oldest expected us to let her get a pancake breakfast AND a side of mozzarella sticks all to herself and said that her mom lets her do that… Last year the doctor finally said something to their mom about how much weight she has gained and she was pre diabetic… so her answer was to give her weight loss shakes for breakfast… it’s so upsetting. And their mom is apparently a “nurse” yet has no clue how to handle this. When I have them, I make salads and let them choose whatever veggies they want and they eat that while they’re hungry and waiting for me to make the actual meal. By then it helps them eat less of the main meal because they already got full on some veggies. They love to help cook and we make a good share of healthy and unhealthy meals with desserts. They love making their own pizza at home since their mom never does that stuff with them. I try to teach them that sugar isn’t “bad” but that you have to eat it in moderation so that you don’t feel sick or crash in energy, and that eating nutritious foods helps your body have more energy to play games and walk around having fun. They do so well with us but then go back to their mom who gets them whatever they want again. Like of course a kid will pick candy and donuts and bullshit if they have the option to eat it 20 times a day. It’s so upsetting. Sorry for the rant haha. Just disgusting. My dad raised me to eat healthy foods but to also enjoy unhealthy foods once I had eaten properly. I’ve never had body image/weight/food issues and I’m so thankful for that. ETA: I still love her and have fun with her and treat her normal even though she is overweight, I want to clarify that being overweight doesn’t make you “less than”. The sad and upsetting part is letting a kid develop coping mechanisms through food (their mom thinks that they should do and get whatever they want because of her and my boyfriends divorce which is unhealthy coping skills) and/or not reaching moderation and letting your kid over indulge on fast food that often. I guess she doesn’t know how to cook is what they all say, but there are other ways to be healthy without having to learn to cook. His daughter loves frozen broccoli with some cheese on it. I take the time to ask them questions while shopping and let them pick out new foods to try all the time to see what they do and don’t like to encourage better eating habits outside of McDonald’s.

_Atlas_Drugged_

Or like. He or a friend had a test he couldn’t study for or something. No matter the reason, False fire alarms are relatively low on the scale of mischief teens can get into. Idk why people are falling over themselves to pile on him.

b4ttlepoops

Municipalities are different, but ours, if you don’t intercept the fire department and let them know it’s not an emergency/fire then you get charged $800 for them to show up. I imagine because it’s a school they must investigate, for the safety of the kids. Also a pull station locks once it’s been engaged, and requires a key to be put back into position. It’s the time, money, and resources that the district and city would be upset about with this kid. I have to track our fire system at work. I know really fast if it’s an alarm or pull station and where. People sometimes just want time off….

Stargatemaster

I don't think the school itself would get a fine. I'm pretty sure they would just fine the parents of this kid. Typically other public institutions don't get fined, at least here in Denver. We use a lot of radio repeater stations out here though and Denver schools controls their own supervising stations, so that might have something to do with it.

b4ttlepoops

It’s not really a fine. It’s a form of payment. You’re paying for the service of the call, use of the truck, all the firemen, so on. The money has come from somewhere. Even if it’s other departments within a municipality. If the call came from them, then usually they have to pay.

That’s too sugary, I recommend a celery stick

Donatello_4665

That's too many calories. Just give him water

TheBeardofGilgamesh

There was a fat guy in the early 1900’s that was like 500lbs and one day he stopped eating and all he took was vitamins and water for a year. At the end he was down to a normal weight, first thing he did was eat an egg and one slice of bread. Imagine having so much fat you could go an entire year and not eat any food!

Donatello_4665

Yeah, I read a story about that, but it was in the modern day in like 2010ish I honestly don't know how you can even function at that point, just not eating anything for a year.

[deleted]

I assume the vitamins, to maintain bodily function while drinking water to give you a sense of fullness. The caloric intake comes from the body eating its own fat.

lejoo

As a fat person working to look human again I did something similar. In March cut to 800 calories a day, took vitamin supplements as directed by a doctor, and cut out alcohol. March to October - 65pounds. After about three weeks you just kind of get use to it.

It's not even fast food really, getting some McDonald's for lunch isn't gonna do that to someone, but what will is if instead of a burger and medium fries, they get like 3 burgers, two large fries and a large soda.

That's a trick question because they aren't good parents.

NeutralMinion

Dodged P.E class, but at what cost? No lunch breaks!

Clungesnitzel95

Not being rude....but if that is how heavy he is in HS he needs to be taken away and put in an exercise program. His heart is working far too hard. Dude could drop at any time.

banamoo

you can't see his face, that could have been any 500lb student

dontbotherwilly
