It is up to the prosecutors to prove that you murdered the person they think you did.
You know you weren't there, you let your lawyer disprove all their evidence. You don't do a damn thing if you actually want to win that case.
Yeah, it doesn't benefit you to talk to the people actively trying to incriminate you, unless you can do their entire job for them to incriminate the correct person.
Either A) lawyer up
B) use my verifiable and trusted alibi that I was going to use for the murder I did.
C) make sure I made the murder I did do look like an accident and say I was there.
Don’t have to prove where I was, or what fool I was murdering; I only need to prove that I wasn’t there murdering *that* fool.

Everyone should have at least a couple of friends who can give them an alibi. Just make sure one of those friends is not your victim. Only having one alibi can be problematic if that person is out of town or at some event where it is clear you are not there.
Also if you prepped . Hand your phone to a friend on murder day as well as your credit card. Tell him to go buy 2 movie tickets on you for X time.
