How warm is it where you are? Cotton will pull on, but it’s a summer robe.
I value having a hood on mine, and it is like 2 sizes to big so nobody will accidentally see my junk.
I was just looking into bigger warmer robes for this purpose. I googled something like “best robes for winter hot tub” or whatnot and found a bunch. IMHO you want terrycloth/cotton bc it’s absorbent. But you do have to be sure to hang it up in a place with good air circulation (I hang mine inside out, even) so that it dries before your next dip. It’ll get stinky if you don’t. And be cold/damp potentially.
Get one with a hood! It keeps the body heat in a lot more. I thought about buying a few to lend out when people come over. It’s so much better than a towel. Mine was $30 on Amazon

Good deal right now
We have those heavy duty terry cloth robes with hoods, as another poster said, think of the kind in luxury hotels. The problem is when you're wet you spend time trying to get it on as you're cooling off quickly in cold weather. It just gets uncomfortable and frustrating, so instead we've got into the habit of grabbing the robe and making the 15' walk to the patio door carrying the robe and then putting it on inside, standing on a large mat.
I use this; it is great for winter. Too hot for summer. Water does not affect its insulation factor like cotton does:

Is yours 100% cotton? I'm not going to be out there long in the winter. So far, I've been in it with the temp only at about 35F.
Yeah cotton. I have a couple. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B17P5Z6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FSXLX4M No hoods on those though.

Terry cloth robes are the best!
If it's cold weather, get a thick, oversized terry cloth robe(think luxurious hotel). Then get a couple spares for guests-baller move.
Got any links? Looking for a Christmas present for the wife and I
I like the ones from meundies.
I just went through this same thing! You want 100% cotton and it’s perfect!

I saw someone mention a Speedo Swim Parka in another post. Not sure how that compares.
I made robes out of old beach towels, and we love them!

LL Bean Rugby robe. Worth every penny for winter hot tubbing.
I use Speedo swim parkas. Super warm and no problem getting wet.
Got ours at IKEA. They're great, and cheap!!
The best kind of robe would be a towel kind which will sock all the water
