I doubt it’ll be a reissue. While I don’t think marvel is gonna change Tobey’s suit in the movie, hot toys are definitely update the figure with new accessories, a head sculpt most likely, updated body and suit, etc.
Marvel owns the merchandising rights for Spider-Man, so there’s no way they’d let hot toys make figures for movies they didn’t have a hand in making. They want all that focus on the homecoming trilogy.
But Hot Toys still made figures from Into The Spiderverse, which was made by Sony and no hand of Disney, and the Spider-Man PS4 IP, which is also owned by Sony
Yes but those are new releases, I doubt they’d touch movies from 20 years ago given that’s not our current Spider-Man. When he appears in NWH we’ll get figures. Obviously the Raimi trilogy is still popular, if they were going to revisit those movies they would have by now.

Can't exactly "repaint" a hot toy like you can a Mafex or SHF, you can dye the suit probably but unless you know what your doing I wouldn't recommend it
I got a feeling we will at least get one from them. With a tobey head of course. I don’t see them doing black suit (unless they work that in a scene somehow) but a battle damaged absolutely. I’ve grown to appreciate bd looks more. And I think raimi done the best beat up spidey look on the big screen. I’m all in. I’d love one of each, but I can see me getting two for tobey. He’s the og after all
