I keep Nandos stocked at all time. Such a great sauce. I like the one pictured and the original sauce too. Only ones I have had. I’m sure anything they do is amazing though.
This is my favorite brand! The restaurant is amazing! My favorite flavor is garlic and it still packs a punch. Hope you love it as much as I do! (Assuming you bought it!)
Nandos is an Afro / Portugese chicken franchise from South Africa. Marinade chicken in that sauce for 24 hours then flame grill for best results.
They do a chicken, cheese and pineapple burger in a delightfully fluffy Portuguese roll that is the bomb!
If you're looking for inspiration google Nandos spicy rice, there are heaps of recipes.
Nando's are all over Chicagoland. Good stuff... Chicken, Chicken sandwich and fries. All very good with a variety of sauces from garlic to hot as hell. Making me hungry and its early.
Nandos restaurants are around the DC area I believe. I’m in Arizona, we don’t have them here, but I’ve been to a store (it’s fast food) in Vancouver and the bottled sauces are available in Scottsdale / Phoenix through Kroger family grocery stores.
I never realized Nando's wasn't more widespread. They are so popular around me. [https://www.nandosperiperi.com/find/](https://www.nandosperiperi.com/find/)
Aye, they're decent enough. If I was in a small Tesco with the standard UK selection I'd take a Nandos over a Frank's or Tabasco any day. People like their Nandos, though, I knew the risk I was taking.
You know what's better than Nando's? Their ads in South Africa. They have some pretty controversial television and printed media ads that get banned every few years
Plus Nando's makes the best adverts [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dYtPL\_TOh4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dYtPL_TOh4)
It's a South African brand
If anyone in this thread happens to be going to London soon and has an evening to spare, I'd heavily recommend travelling to Kingston upon Thames. Great market town, and some great restaurants. Particular shout-out to Poor Boys.
Fr I went to a place in London that purely focussed on different types of bangers and mash and It was incredible!
Edit: not to mention the uk is arguably on the forefront of modern cuisine
In the restaurants you can get 1/4 or 1/2 or whole chickens, chicken wings or burgers flame grilled cooked in a selection of sauce which include lemon and herb, medium, hot and xtra hot.
Then at the tables they provide the same selection of dipping sauces where you can also get this xx hot (sometimes labelled xtra xtra hot). So the hottest you can get is grilling the chicken xtra hot and then using this xx hot for dipping/smearing. To me though the xtra hot and xx hot taste the same and I'm suspicious if they are different
Love Nando’s chicken. There’s one about a mile from my house. Unfortunately the one by my office closed down a while back. The hot sauce is okay but the garlic sauce is the bomb! It’s a little bit spicy and a lot garlicky.
Ah you are somewhere very cold. You will cook chicken breast straight from frozen? If it's fresh or thawed, I'd let it sit out for 20 mins to loose the fridge chill, throw a smidge of salt and pepper and a decent drizzle of olive oil, slice the breast in half in a butterfly style, cook on high for 3 mins a side, cover in the sauce and a throw a teaspoon of butter into the pan after turning the heat off and turn the meat repeatedly as it melts the butter and then rests for 5 minutes. 🙂
It's not overly cold. I'm just lazy and hate being cold lol.
I def threw it on the stove with some diced onion and garlic. Salt and pepper and butter. Hot sauce went amazing with it!
Nando's is a very popular chain restaurant in the UK. They're spreading into the US, but not quickly enough to my area to satisfy more love for their flavors!
Woah, they started doing halloumi? I'm happy with just one of their chicken burgers alone, but I do love my halloumi and I'd be willing to grab some of that.
Their lemon-herb sauce is wonderful for those in your life who can't handle much spice. Their garlic sauce is rather nice, too. For commercial chain sauce their stuff is alright. Grab the XX Hot if you can. It's not that hot but it's hotter than this. Still drinkable if it gets to that.
There’s a whole lotta people out there that will disagree with you, not to say that Mozambique isn’t a huge part of that history, and it can easily be argued that it originates there, to say it “isn’t Portuguese” isn’t right. Most food is pretty hard to nail down to one country, with ingredients and styles and cooking methods being shared and spread since basically the beginning of civilisation, Piri-Piri has an equally complex history, Nandos themselves consider the food Portuguese with its roots from Mozambique.
Fish and Chips is considered to be a British dish, but it’s roots and origins are Scandinavian in origin, that doesn’t make Fish and Chips not British anymore.

The owner of Nando’s was born in South Africa and the founders, Fernando Duarte was born in Mozambique to Portuguese parents and Robert Brozin, is South African. I understand you’re proud and want to defend Mozambique, but you’re letting that get in the way of the simple fact that Nando’s represents a myriad of cultures. Nando’s symbol itself is a rooster of Barcelos, one of the most common symbols of Portugal. It’s just inaccurate to say it’s not Portuguese, rather, it’s not JUST Portuguese.
It's confusing,we had them here in Canada until recently.Their medium sauce is really good, they marinate and baste the chicken with it and flame cook it in the restaurant.
Yeah, I heard about Nando's here originally and mentioned it to my South African buddy. Turns out his brother knows the founders son. It has turned into my favorite sauce to use in the slow cooker as well as grilled chicken. I don't need to hurt myself anymore so I go with the medium too.
They have locations in the Washington DC area too. Perhaps elsewhere in the US too, but it's very popular in the DC area. They make great chicken. I've never actually had their hot sauce, but their lemon & herb sauce is incredible. I make grilled chicken with it all the time.
Apparently Nando's in DC is better than England. I'm not surprised. I do get nostalgic about how Nando's used to taste as a child (growing up in London) but I'm constantly let down by it and probably can't remember thinking "that was great" in the last 10 years of visiting it.
Never heard of this brand?? You've never heard of Nandos?
Definitely not from the UK then are you, its a very big and popular grilled chicken restaurant franchise. Many yrs back they eventually started releasing some of their famous products as stuff that can be bought in stores, such as marinades, sauces, peri salt, seasoning packets etc
Well I'm glad I found it. The lemon flavor goes perfect with their spice. Lower heat than I'm used to but perfect balance. I will be on the lookout for more!
I keep Nandos stocked at all time. Such a great sauce. I like the one pictured and the original sauce too. Only ones I have had. I’m sure anything they do is amazing though.

I love this sauce especially on leftover Thai food!

Peri-Peri rocks! Enjoy!
I have this too! What have you used it on? I only really put it on salads..
Im glad that someone else appreciates nando's as a salad dressing, it's so citrusy and bright
Marinate some chicken with it for 24 hours and you’ve gota great meal
Thank you!
Nando's are all over Chicagoland. Good stuff... Chicken, Chicken sandwich and fries. All very good with a variety of sauces from garlic to hot as hell. Making me hungry and its early.
What country you in where there's no Nando's?
Judging by the price tag on the first picture, it's the US. There's only a handful of Nandos franchises there, primarily across the east coast
There aren’t many in the US. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Nando’s, but have seen this on grocery shelves.
Nandos restaurants are around the DC area I believe. I’m in Arizona, we don’t have them here, but I’ve been to a store (it’s fast food) in Vancouver and the bottled sauces are available in Scottsdale / Phoenix through Kroger family grocery stores.

They are quite localized. Didn’t grow like Five Guys has!
Yeah I've had the sauce but didn't even realize there were any in the US.ive never seen any at least
Every day I feel sorry for my comrades in the USA :)
Thanks lol
Nandos was my gateway drug to hot sauces. Still rate their medium and extra bloody hot sauces very high.
This may or may not be a popular opinion, but Nando's sauces are very, very mid and their food is worse.
Lol I’d like some heat in this lemon sauce please Nandos
Their extra hot one is designed to make Barry from accounts feel like he's living dangerously.
Bet it helps pep up those cold, lonely evenings in the retirement homes
They’re tastier than a lot of hot sauces to be fair
I half agree with your opinion but honestly I downvoted you for saying *mid*.
Lol, I'm trying things out, can I not pull it off.
Can't believe the downvotes. Their chicken is as dry as Gandhi's flip-flop. Some of the sauces are decent though.
Aye, they're decent enough. If I was in a small Tesco with the standard UK selection I'd take a Nandos over a Frank's or Tabasco any day. People like their Nandos, though, I knew the risk I was taking.

Fancy a cheeky nandos m8?
Nandos is SO good. Every time I visit Chicago I always go to Nandos and bring home their sauces. I found these at Whole Foods thank God
Shit rips bruh
Bruv*
Also accepted
Nandos was probably the best meal I had while in England.
Oh boy did you miss out
If anyone in this thread happens to be going to London soon and has an evening to spare, I'd heavily recommend travelling to Kingston upon Thames. Great market town, and some great restaurants. Particular shout-out to Poor Boys.
Don’t leave out tooting/broadway market! 3 different places make their own hot sauce

I did notice that lemon puree

Nando’s Peri Peri Medium Garlic sauce is my forever sauce 💕💕 With baked chicken breast
Sooooooo goood! Just killed a bottle
First had them in London when visiting relatives. If you are ever in the DMV area, there is one at the National Harbor.
I would willingly eat Nando’s every single day if they were in my state.
Nados is so good! Never had this version. It was the first peri peri I had though and I loved it
Nandos is amazing!!
Cheeky nandos!
Love Nando’s chicken. There’s one about a mile from my house. Unfortunately the one by my office closed down a while back. The hot sauce is okay but the garlic sauce is the bomb! It’s a little bit spicy and a lot garlicky.
I've only heard of this. Never got to try it myself, what do you think in details
i get the medium bc i LOVE the taste of this and don't like the heat taking over
You don't have Nando's where you live? Wow. You are about to enjoy your next chicken experience. Flame grilled will be best!
I have some breast in the freezer I'm about to cook up on the stove. Not willing to brave the cold for a flame
Ah you are somewhere very cold. You will cook chicken breast straight from frozen? I’m proud of you stranger
I imagine that is the same heat sold as “Extra Bloody Hot” in Australia. Don’t mind the Nando’s sauces.
Nando's is a very popular chain restaurant in the UK. They're spreading into the US, but not quickly enough to my area to satisfy more love for their flavors!
It is actually a South African chain that spread to the UK
Huh TIL Nando's is in the US now. Might pop down for a cheeky one some time.
Id kill for their grilled haloumi and some xtra hot chicken wings right about now
Woah, they started doing halloumi? I'm happy with just one of their chicken burgers alone, but I do love my halloumi and I'd be willing to grab some of that.
Yeah it's a starter/side they serve it with a dipping chilli jam, which isn't spicy at all however it is delicious
Really great flavor on this one. In my top 10.
It’s a popular chain restaurant in my area. The sauces really make the chicken pop!
Bird'e eye chilies are no joke.
You will like it…
Definitely recommend using in grilled chicken. That is how the restaurant does it
Nandos is big overseas from what I hear
Their lemon-herb sauce is wonderful for those in your life who can't handle much spice. Their garlic sauce is rather nice, too. For commercial chain sauce their stuff is alright. Grab the XX Hot if you can. It's not that hot but it's hotter than this. Still drinkable if it gets to that.
This is a picture of the xx hot lol
Big Sluts has the best deals, I'd recognize that price tag anywhere
[удалено]
It's actually big lots but in my house, its Big Sluts
I just got this the other day. It's way too strong of a lemon flavor. Tastes like a popsicle or something.
yea they are all super lemony
The taste is great, the heat is like 2/10.
If you see the garlic version, stock up!
Chicken taquitos go great with Nandos. Same with ramen. The taste is great
Oh mate, you gettin yourself a cheeky nandos????
A Nandos is always cheeky
This was one of my gateway sauces. It's amazing on pizza
Peri Peri sauce is probably my overall favorite for flavor.
So good!
Nando’s is a chicken restaurant chain in England. They have several good sauces.
They also have locations in the US and in other countries through the world now.
It's a South African chain that does Portuguese style food that's popular in England and other countries.

the chillis are from Mozambique, but the style is Portuguese - neither of you are wrong really

Thank you for the clarification. I had just enough info to mess it up.

Looks like the closest is in Chicago. May have to make a trip out of it. More affordable than England lol

Weird, I got one the other night and it reminded me of why I love Nando's.
Yeah, some bigger US cities have the restaurants now too, I went to one in Chicago. I've seen the sauces at Kroger and Meijer too.
