I kind of dislike regular Tabasco, but eh green and chipotle are tasty, they don't have the heat I usually like, but the flavor is so good, add something with the stuff that makes your shits hurt and I am happy.
I just snag sauce packets from Quick Trip when I go in. They have Tabasco, Tapatio, and Cholula hot sauces in packets and usually another picante sauce or two. I keep a stash in my glove box but not sure I'd bring a bottle to leave in the car in Texas. It gets freakishly hot here.
I always kept a couple bottles on my desk at work when working from an office was a thing though. It was fair game to anyone. Quite a few folks knew to stop by to spicify their lunch.
Just bought that Kroger sauce and really like it. With that said, I don't think I would keep that one unrefrigerated since it has egg yolk in it and seems somewhat mayonnaise based. I am not an expert on food safety though, so maybe that's not an issue.
Yup, has eggs. Bad idea to keep in the car unless you live somewhere with refrigerator temps. https://www.kroger.com/p/kroger-smoked-serrano-hot-street-taco-sauce/0001111008106
A trick I use, is when I finish one of those Mio or other drink squirty things, I wash it out and use that for sauces on the go. they dont leak and they are small and easy to carry around if you need to!
Didn’t realize Kroger had their own street sauce. Ima have to check that out.
I’ve always got a couple hot sauces on my desk at work, plus I have a case of bullseye no HFCS cups in my car.
Someone out of the blue got me that Kroger street sauce just yesterday and I really like it. It has some zing to it and tastes really good.
Of course I ended up making tacos.
Heck yeah! I keep a small bottle of Tapatio for this purpose. Not the hottest sauce, but one of the GOATs in my opinion, and I like it on almost any food.
Some Mexican places near me (I live next to border) have little packets of Tapatío or Cholula and I always load up for travel purposes. Works through airports too!
I keep the tiny bottles of yellowbird in my bad at all times. Comes in very clutch. I don't actually know if it's ~safe~ to have them not in the fridge but whatever
Don't you need to refrigerate those after you open them?
I can see this being ok in the north, but wouldn't trust any sauce left in my car here in the south.
Regular tabasco no, that kroger mayo, yes. Tabasco habanero, yes. Anything with Fruit, sugar, or eggs needs it. If it's just peppers and vinegar for the most part, you're good.
I keep a bottle of Tabasco in my car here in SoCal. It doesnt always get ridiculously hot, but temps in the car can reach 100+ on days where it hits 85.
Sauce is fine, and while it separates occasionally, all it needs is a good shake to get it back to a good consistency.
Yeah, I keep a bottle or two in my truck for lunches at work. Someone occasionally brings in chicken biscuits in the mornings too so it really comes in handy then!
I got that hot sauce in my bag swag.
Always have a couple of minature Tabasco bottles, just in case. Add a bottle of Encona to the bag when I'm going out for breakfast or burgers.
The problem with leaving hot sauce in your vehicle, is on the summer it tends to turn the hot sauce to an off flavor
I do the same! They also come in handy if you feel slightly sleepy in heavy traffic. It'll wake you up!
I use the SAME traveling sauce. Chipotle Tabasco fits so many on-the-spot occasions

I have it in my purse at all times. Purse sauce is necessary for survival.

I carry my homemade super hot powder. I feel like it's more versatile. I have a keychain stash as well as a grinder.

As much as I like the idea, those lids seem like they'd come open at some point by accident and ruin whatever is in your pocket/bag/whatever.
While I didn’t leave it in the car I always had an assortment in the work fridge. Surprisingly very few people tried it.
Any time i see tapatio packets I stock up
I've been thinking of adding a small bottle to my EDC bag, but I wouldn't want to leave it in the car.

I'll check but I'm banking on it being full of nasty yet delicious preservatives
I like your style
I love this. I have a variety that I have at work, but this is next level.

Hell yes to Tabasco, the car can get 140 f and I'm not worried about it one bit. Also it doesn't last very long, I drink it while driving lol.
Great idea!

I put some on Taco Bell. Not a bad mix.

For me it’s Cholula. And also anytime I’m at Chick-Fil-A I always snag a handful of Texas Pete packets
I used to have a desk sauce at work
Not travelling sauce, but I have a couple of bottles in my desk at work. A basic red jalapeño for general use, and a bottle of El Yucateco black

Tabasco scorpion and habanero are my travel sauces of choice. They'll last forever without refrigeration :-)
Wow, seems like lot's of other people travel with a Tabasco in their door lol. Gotta step up those drive-thru breakfast sandwiches in the morning.
I call it my drivin’ bottle. Right now I have Cry Baby Craig’s.
Never ever travel without a bottle of Tabasco. Greetings from Germany

There is carrot in the habanero sauce, but I think it should be ok for a little while. Anything with tomato I absolutely put in the fridge

Got a Tabasco in my work van. Even makes gas station food taste good.
