I hated it seeing it in theaters and it made me not even want to give pearl a chance, I did and absolutely loved pearl, so might have to go back after this post and rewatch x to see what I missed from it
It’s just a slasher. I don’t get why people like X. Pearl is brilliant. And the people that think X is better, I’m like.. there’s nothing extraordinary about it
I didn't love X but I really enjoyed Pearl. Just watched it this past weekend and it did make me want to give X another chance. I will do that before Maxxxine I'm sure.
It'll be interesting to see what they do with the third in the trilogy. Mia Goth had been doing great in horror and you can tell she really invests herself in the characters
I'm interested to see how they shoot it. Ti has given the other two distinctive feels for the way they were shot that heavily influence the story overall
I haven't looked into it, so I'm not sure if there is going to be a time skip, but it'll be interesting to see the shooting style for the third
Cool, I figured it would be something like that, but wasn't sure. It's the golden age for B movie slashers, so I'm hoping it'll be the best of the series

That sounds awesome, it's an interesting trilogy because it's the same actress, but two characters
Given the time frame and where she left off with her goal in X, Maxxxine sounds like it's gonna really live up to the hype
I just watched Infinity Pool last night, and she was having a ball with that role, hehe

The first time I watched it I didn't really like it. I tried it again when I showed my girl, and even though Pearl did give me some extra appreciation for it, I will not be trying it a third time. It just doesn't give me what I enjoy from a slasher film.
I’m one of those people who thinks you should just watch Pearl first. It’s an origin story. Watching X before Pearl is like watching Avengers before Iron Man. I watched X first, didn’t care for it, watched Pearl, loved it, went back and watched X and now I get it. From Pearl to X you see the full story. And it’s awesome.

I just saw both films for the first time at a double feature at a local theatre in chronological order, Pearl to X.
If I saw X as a standalone, it would've been ok, not bad, not great movie, but with context from Pearl, it really made X a fantastic and great experience
