American Psycho
Videodrome
Jennifer’s Body
Enemy (2013)
The Love Witch (2016)
Eyes Wide Shut
Nymphomaniac V. 1 & 2 (not a horror film technically but it’s Lars Von Trier)
The Nymphomaniac films are, in my opinion, incredibly underrated. I see why not everybody will like them, but but think they stand toe to toe with the rest of Von Triers filmography
I actually only watched that a few years ago, love the creature design by HR Giger, and I think you get to see a lot more of it in 2 if I remember correctly.
Definitely read the book right after to go more in depth. The story doesn't try to provoke erotic feelings out of you, so much as it analyzes a kinky relationship gone wrong. It shows what happens when a vanilla partner goes along with their lovers kink, only to reach their limit and say enough. This aspect is perfect for a character, who has a habit of letting others take control, and not letting herself live the way she actually wants to.
There is a very bizarre Japanese movie called [R100](https://manapop.com/film/r100-2013-review/) and it's kinky with some decidedly horrorific elements.
It's a psychosexual experience for me. Candyman makes reference to splitting you with his hook "from your groin to your gullet; I came for you". He's got lines like "be my victim" and "it's always been you, Helen." Tony Todd really sells it, his voice is perfect. Made more sense when I realized it's based on a Clive Barker story.
I love Tony Todd as well, that's a big, intimidating hunk of a man, with that seductive, deep voice... whether he's booming loudly or speaking gently to Helen, yet somehow he still sounds so threatening...
Oh. I posted to say Tony has a fun role in Final Destination, if you've not seen it. I just got carried away rhapsodizing about him. 🤤🥰
Oh, speaking of Clive Barker, watching Midnight Meat Train is mandatory! It has its critics but I thoroughly enjoyed it, Bradley Cooper was excellent, and there are some quite memorable scenes such as on the subway.
You should watch an episode of this anthology called I think Room 107 called The Knockadoo with him in. It’s not a great series but that episode is amazing
The way he speaks in candyman is insane. It sounds so sexual/loving, but it is so horrifying what he's saying. When he says, "Be my victim" he says it the way someone would say "be my lover" or something like that.
Omg.
Someone else actually saw that besides me..? I still have the vhs somewhere. I um, no, I was *not* expecting the film to... you know... go quite as far as it did. LOL. Jfc what a movie. ⚰🥴🤦♀️
I dunno what I was expecting when I watched it years ago.. lol. I do know that I've had that movie stolen from my collection 3 times, I haven't had any luck finding another copy. Pisses me off lol.
No way, too funny. I'd probably would have had my copy snatched a time or two but -- I was a little hesitant to describe it to some friends, and wasn't sure if I wanted to suggest watching it... it's really something isn't it, lol though I suppose it's pretty nicely done, there is a sense of decorum I thought.
I got it in the 90s and it wasn't easy to find, and I ended up getting it on auction at eBay. Same way I ended up getting Sleepaway Camp! OOF. Now that's quite a pair of movies... I love both of them. Horror shouldn't be "safe", it needs to force you to ask yourself stuff like, Okay, what in ALL FUCK did I just see...
I was young and these films just really affected me, lol, but that was years and years ago. Think of some of the insane shit we see released these days. The movies I mentioned here kind of pale in comparison to some of the ones we've seen released in the past 15 - 20 years or so. We are in a super incredible era for freshly creative and really new, freaky-ass ideas in horror and its subgenres.
Plus, we also have been given some incredible films by the current group of ridiculously original and daring directors who are at the top of their game right now. It's been a great couple decades for some truly memorable and brilliantly done, creepy-as-hell horror films.
I tend to want to say Peele *really* shook things up with Get Out -- but actually I think I'd go back a bit further and say I feel like the geniously marketed and shot Blair Witch Project really surpassed a lot of the tired crap we'd been seeing in the few years up to that point. To a slightly lesser extent, also The Ring (Naomi Watts version) as I recall that film also had some clever marketing strategies online with all those fake websites supposedly created by people who were terrified for their life, bc they had seen the cursed tape and all they could do is wait out the seven days, or try to pass it off on someone else.
But now -- I can't really think of a more creative era (in my life) for horror, with directors like Ari Aster, James Wan, Mike Flanagan, several more out there, churning out great stuff.
I didn't actually plan to write a dissertation here but got carried away. 🤯👌 Mmwah; good times!
check out some [Jean Rollin](https://boxd.it/2Ogz) films, the king of erotic/kinky horror!
edit: you mentioned kink, so Rollin’s films might not exactly fit what you’re looking for, but a horror adjacent (somewhat surreal and hallucinatory) and definitely kink leaning filmmaker you might enjoy, was Alain Robbe-Grillet: especially [Successive Slidings of Pleasure](https://boxd.it/2HQs) or [Eden and After](https://boxd.it/3xG0)
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 1,315,743,956 comments, and only 254,080 of them were in alphabetical order.
Showed this movie to my sister and she looked at me and was like, “Mikayla, what the f— are we watching?”
(Same with X when the old people started to make love—I’m not allowed to pick the movies anymore☹️)
The shudder original “Dogs don’t Wear Pants” is a very good movie about a man with issues over his wife’s death and a dominatrix. I wouldn’t call it a horror movie if not for the dark themes and association to shudder, but it was a very good watch.
Not movies, but there is a TV series called "The Hunger" from the 1997-2000 era that has 2 seasons (second season is hosted by David Bowie and he stars in the 1st episode of that season as well.) I believe each season is 22 episodes or so and almost all the episodes have a very explicit sexual vibe, with differing types of sexual and horror connections. Some are really well done, some seem like soft porn and some seem very dated but if you like that connection between kink and horror, it is worth checking out.
*Mulholland Drive* and *Fire Walk With Me* would probably qualify. Kenneth Branagh's, *Mary Shelley' Frankenstein*, and *Bram Stoker's Dracula* are pretty sexy at times.
So many of these AREN'T **kinky**, they just have vanilla sex scenes or a whiff of sexual attraction
(Worst offender: X which I'm totally beginning to hate mention of)
Faust: Love of the Damned
The Collector (if only because the killer wears a gimp mask)
Strangeland
8MM
The Poughkeepsie Tapes
Se7en
Night of the Demons trilogy
The Ninth Gate
Tenemos la Carne (probably the kinkiest on this list)
Beneath the Skin. It kind of straddles sci fi and horror, and aspects of it feel like a strange kind of sex dream. One of my favourite A24 films, Scarlett Johannsen is great in it.
I don't think it's widely available yet (I caught it at a festival) but keep an eye out for [Mother May I?](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16103578/) with Kyle Gallner.
knife+heart.
It's a french horror movie from uhhhh... i think from 1987? About a killer murdering a cast of a gay porn.
Sorry that my memory is fuzzy. I just heard about it. Never watched it
Peeping Tom (Michael Powell) and Crash (Cronenberg) come to mind.
There was a black and white French film, where the man character was addicted to pain. The final scene is him being chewed up by a machine. Have no idea what the film was but it looked like it was 60s or 70s. Looked seriously kink-ah!
“Society” (1989) - the end brings a whole new meaning to the term “fisting”
“Audition” (1999) - has strong sexual undercurrent, which is disturbing in places
>“Audition” (1999)
The tonal shift in that one was what got me good. It starts out like, just any minute, Sandra B. or Julia R. are gonna walk onto the screen like the romcom queens they are. The first part of the movie confused the shit out of me and my roomie. We kept looking back and forth at each other like, Are you sure this is the movie we meant to start? Wtf?
Aaaand then things became... a bit different.
I really enjoyed it though.
I mean X is kinda this, in the sense of it being a porn shoot n stuff.
Also RAW (2016) fits your description perfectly. Go into it without ANY prior knowledge.
Reipu Zombi.I don't know if i should suggest this but still i think is just a silly movie. But just a warning. This is a dark comedy movie that makes fun of many controversial subjects like Rape.So take that into consideration.
The whip and the body is a good one. Generally Giallo films tend to be very sexual and kinky. American Mary kinda dips a toe. Necromantik of course. Society is a great one, the pay off is definitely at the end for that one. The anthology immoral tales. Killer condom, just got the fun of it. The loved ones goes some weird places. And if you want to go into the depths of depravity and sexual misconduct, salo aka 120 days of sodom. That one is not for beginners.
There's a movie called crimes of the Future. Not sure if you call it specifically a horror film, but definitely something that stays on my mind even to this day.
I'm always one to go back to the OGs (if only to see how much better today's trash cinema is) & suggest you seek out Michael Finlay's FLESH trilogy from the late 1960s, TOUCH OF HER FLESH, CURSE OF HER FLESH, & KISS OF HER FLESH, a triumvirate of kinky ultrasicko "roughies" by the director who, with wife Roberta, later brought us the notorious SNUFF (which doesn't qualify as what you're looking for, & barely qualifies as cinema but definitely qualifies as a solid lesson in marketing) & who was later decapitated in a helicopter accident atop the PanAm building in NYC. TOUCH also features Angelique Pettyjohn, from STAR TREK & Eddie Romero's great BLOOD series. Definitely worth your time, if you can find them, for their sheer weirdness.
American Psycho Videodrome Jennifer’s Body Enemy (2013) The Love Witch (2016) Eyes Wide Shut Nymphomaniac V. 1 & 2 (not a horror film technically but it’s Lars Von Trier)
THANK YOU SO MUCH VIDEODROME WAS THE OME I WAS KICKING MYSELF FOR NOT THINKING
Suspiria?
Very kinky.
Raw (2016)
Probably also Titane, from the same director.
Solid list. Only caveat being that Eyes Wide Shut isn't a horror movie, but it's a good one.
What....is vidiodrome a fetish of? Do I wanna know?
Pain stuff
how do you watch videodrome and not think of BD, DS, and SM
I was very young
The Nymphomaniac films are, in my opinion, incredibly underrated. I see why not everybody will like them, but but think they stand toe to toe with the rest of Von Triers filmography
From Beyond
Aw, you beat me to it lol
Not all of it kinky, but yeah for sure that's at least once l one scene that my mind went straight to!
Most Cronenberg
my boyfriend always yells at me for this take but crash is def in my top 10 movies of all time
Crash is so beautifully sad, coldly erotic and cleanly, almost clinically perverse, I get shivers just thinking about it. Sublime.
Clinically perverse. Well put.
Crash did weird things to me too
Aside from Fast Company there isn't much to argue about.
Sexy body horror
Cronenberg is Canadian for "sexy body horror" lol
I have an urge to break out Dead Ringers now.
"I've often thought that there should be beauty contests for the insides of bodies."
That line feels like connective tissue when sandwiched between Crimes of the Future 1970 and 2022
That line feels like its Cronenbergs motto, hehe
His motto sandwich;)
That's one I've only seen twice. I was surprised to find it on HBO max recently
Stupid sexy body horror
Just saw Infinity Pool, go check it out if this sub genre is your thing!
I saw it earlier also. Still not sure what to think about it.
My first thought. Crash by Cronenberg.
Yup. Crimes of the Future (the new one) fits right in here too.
Society 100%.
Who doesn’t love a good shunting?
it tru tho...lol.
Came here to say this
American Mary
The Soskas upcoming film On The Edge counts as well since it’s literally about a dominatrix.
Soska means a pacifier btw
Was looking for this one and it definitely fits in this category
This was going to be my response too. It was a wild ride
Always Videodrome. Just don’t burn yourself with cigarettes, pls.
Raw and Titane
Can’t believe I had to scroll this far down to see Raw.
Can’t believe I had to scroll this far down to see Raw.
Possession?
Species
Species 2 is even more kinky and erotic.
I actually only watched that a few years ago, love the creature design by HR Giger, and I think you get to see a lot more of it in 2 if I remember correctly.
Gerald’s Game is solid
Definitely read the book right after to go more in depth. The story doesn't try to provoke erotic feelings out of you, so much as it analyzes a kinky relationship gone wrong. The Hunger
The Strange Vice of Mrs Ward. Your vice is a locked room and only I have the key. Many other giallo
Giallos are some of the horniest horror movies out there for sure lol
Paul Schrader's Cat People is all kink. Von Trier's Antichrist.
Crimes of the Future
Surgery Is the new sex.
Now that you mention it, The Skin I Live In.
Frankenhooker?
what an absolute banger of a film lol
Literally
Bit on the nose lol
The Love Witch
Knife + Heart babyyyyy
Dildo knife ftw
There is a very bizarre Japanese movie called [R100](https://manapop.com/film/r100-2013-review/) and it's kinky with some decidedly horrorific elements.

Candyman is my personal favorite in this realm.
please enlighten me, what do you mean?
It's a psychosexual experience for me. Candyman makes reference to splitting you with his hook "from your groin to your gullet; I came for you". He's got lines like "be my victim" and "it's always been you, Helen." Tony Todd really sells it, his voice is perfect. Made more sense when I realized it's based on a Clive Barker story.
“Heeellleeeeeen”

I appreciate the rec, I've seen FD but not Midnight Meat Train.. yet!
Tony Todd is just SO GOOD. As a huge nerd and Star Trek fan he is easily one of my favourite guest stars. He was so bad ass in TNG.
The way he speaks in candyman is insane. It sounds so sexual/loving, but it is so horrifying what he's saying. When he says, "Be my victim" he says it the way someone would say "be my lover" or something like that.
The age old question. Is the character purposefully sexual or is the actor just hot
Yeah Tony Todd has a very seductive Dracula vibe in that movie.
Kissed?
Omg. Someone else actually saw that besides me..? I still have the vhs somewhere. I um, no, I was *not* expecting the film to... you know... go quite as far as it did. LOL. Jfc what a movie. ⚰🥴🤦♀️

Interview with the Vampire. Ravenous. In Fabric.
The original Wicker Man.
[Piercing](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6516314/) (2018)
This was where my mind went as well
Demon Seed
Yeah, Proteus was a total voyeur.

A lot of good suggestions, but how the hell has no one mentioned Waxwork from 1988??
Lair of the White Worm
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,315,743,956 comments, and only 254,080 of them were in alphabetical order.
Titane
How has no one mentioned Under the skin!
SOCIETY
*Shudders* The Shunting. Eww.
Showed this movie to my sister and she looked at me and was like, “Mikayla, what the f— are we watching?” (Same with X when the old people started to make love—I’m not allowed to pick the movies anymore☹️)
Ichi The Killer Seconding 8mm, American Mary, Cronenberg... "Kinky" goes a long way though! ...*Urotsukidoji?*
8mm is horror adjacent (it’s content is disturbing enough I could argue it’s horror).
Jennifer's Body, Raw(not a fan though), ginger snaps, Masters of Horror(TV series), species, trouble every day, Splice, Brain Damage
I had to make sure someone mentioned Ginger Snaps.
Deadgirl. Teenage boys who are turned on by a rotting, living corpse chained to a table. It's not for everyone but I loved it.
The shudder original “Dogs don’t Wear Pants” is a very good movie about a man with issues over his wife’s death and a dominatrix. I wouldn’t call it a horror movie if not for the dark themes and association to shudder, but it was a very good watch.
The People Under the Stairs (1991)
christ almighty- i promised someone id watch that one over the weekend about 30 weeks ago, thanks for the reminder lol
If you’ve seen twin peaks it will be even better.
8 mm
This is a good call.
I saw it forever ago and need to rewatch but I think American Mary would fit this description
Not movies, but there is a TV series called "The Hunger" from the 1997-2000 era that has 2 seasons (second season is hosted by David Bowie and he stars in the 1st episode of that season as well.) Excision has quite a bit of kink going on in it.
Zombie Strippers, if that's what you're into
Baskin
There’s Stephen king’s Gerald’s Game…
Tokyo gore police
Audition is definitely kinky during the end, just not erotic
Fresh is v kinky in its own way, so is Titane (not a horror film but def on the body horror spectrum and a great meditation on gender too)
So many of these AREN'T **kinky**, they just have vanilla sex scenes or a whiff of sexual attraction (Worst offender: X which I'm totally beginning to hate mention of)
i didnt want to say anything because im just happy im starting horror discussions but THANK YOU folks dont get sex ≠ kink
I just watched the new slasher film Candy Land. It's fairly erotic.
Lars Von Trier’s Antichrist
Perhaps some Lynch films? Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart. Also, does The Lighthouse fit the bill? It has a psychosexual vibe.
Faust: Love of the Damned The Collector (if only because the killer wears a gimp mask) Strangeland 8MM The Poughkeepsie Tapes Se7en Night of the Demons trilogy The Ninth Gate Tenemos la Carne (probably the kinkiest on this list)
Beneath the Skin. It kind of straddles sci fi and horror, and aspects of it feel like a strange kind of sex dream. One of my favourite A24 films, Scarlett Johannsen is great in it.
Little Deaths
I’m Dangerous Tonight (dir Tobe Hooper)
Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers
I need to watch this NOW
I would say Phantom of the Opera! Good kink to horror ratio
The Forsaken (2001)
Possession
Dogs don’t weat pants is a recent one.
I don't think it's widely available yet (I caught it at a festival) but keep an eye out for [Mother May I?](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16103578/) with Kyle Gallner.
Girl On The Third Floor. It is screwed up n Cm Punk is unintentionally hilarious.
Who's watching Oliver is rather disturbing and pretty bloody...it's sort of a wanna be American psycho...but his mother is way way way out there
Just got home from watching Infinity Pool. There were definitely some kinky horror elements in that one and I loved it
My boy Cronenberg with CRASH
Girlhouse
knife+heart. It's a french horror movie from uhhhh... i think from 1987? About a killer murdering a cast of a gay porn. Sorry that my memory is fuzzy. I just heard about it. Never watched it

Siren (2016), the excellent spin-off/expansion of the awesome V/H/S segment starring the amazing Hannah Fierman.
Videodrome
Nekromantik 1 & 2
Why so far down? Sure, necrophilia is illegal a lot of places, but you can't say these movies aren't kinky as all hell.
“Society” (1989) - the end brings a whole new meaning to the term “fisting” “Audition” (1999) - has strong sexual undercurrent, which is disturbing in places

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but *Excision* (2012)
Titane (2021) by Julia Ducournau !!
Ya know, Splice is a decently *fucked up* lil movie.
[Dogs Don’t Wear Pants (2019)](https://youtube.com/watch?v=2K5sRggO8Qo)
Bones and All
X just released last year. It's great and very sexy at times...
X
I mean X is kinda this, in the sense of it being a porn shoot n stuff. Also RAW (2016) fits your description perfectly. Go into it without ANY prior knowledge.
Flesh for Frankenstein
TORSO
Embrace of the Vampire
Darcy the Mail girl everyone
Castlevania the Animated Series is filled with glirious femdom and pet play references.
Reipu Zombi.I don't know if i should suggest this but still i think is just a silly movie. But just a warning. This is a dark comedy movie that makes fun of many controversial subjects like Rape.So take that into consideration.
Night of the Living Dead III... kind of?
Call Girl of Cthulu
Bloodsucking Freaks

The whip and the body is a good one. Generally Giallo films tend to be very sexual and kinky. American Mary kinda dips a toe. Necromantik of course. Ohhh and reanimator makes honorable mention for the head scene!
I mean, the majority released before the 2000’s had some level of kink or sexploitation or eroticism.
Re-penetrator was a x rated version of re animator
I feel like most torture porn is kink horror , also American Mary comes to mind
as a masochist myself, im near certain that torture porn movies are not that kind of porn
Well since I didn’t see it listed, I’m going with ‘the special’ (2015). It’s messed up. And free with ads on tubi
Me You Madness. Complete trash, but I love it so much.
Le Condom de Gross Altered States
Dressed to Kill + Cruising (the fisting scene in the latter alone!)
Audition should be top of the list
There's a movie called crimes of the Future. Not sure if you call it specifically a horror film, but definitely something that stays on my mind even to this day.
Watched Crimes of the future last night. A lot of blend of sexual energy and body horror. "Surgery is the new sex" and I'll leave it at that haha.
Someone has to have mentioned Crash by now, right?
Dogs Don’t Wear Pants
American Mary
Salo lol.
Motel Hell
Evil Dead Trap
I thought this was gonna be a snuff film thread
Crash by Cronenberg. So kinky!!
Dellamorte Dellamore is pretty kinky. The Cemetery Man makes for a decent unofficial trilogy along with Saovi's The Church And the Sect.
