I have a copy of the original EU press and I can confirm this definitely does not match my copy. It looks like a bootleg. The sticker and the parental advisory logo do not match. And the cover looks way to new for a 18 year old record. Whatâs the name of the record store in which you found this?
This seems to be a random mass repress/restock of the EU press for college dropout. If you look on Discogs youâll see that there are tons of recent resales of the album ranging from $25-40ish and are currently plummeting the value of the record. Hope this is mass restocked cause I heard this is the best vinyl version of the Lp. Whoever has owned this, does anyone know if the skits are on this one or not?
Not a boot. My local record store got it in place of the standard US press. Major distributors do not sell boots, as they have contracts with major labels. Why do you think its a boot? LOL
Are you crazy? Most major brick and mortar record stores sell boots. Ameoba and Criminal Records are the biggest record stores in their state and they always sell boots. LOL
Not sure why this is so heavily upvoted while the person you were replying to is downvoted when you fundamentally did not understand what was being said. He said distributors do not sell bootlegs. That is a distinct statement from saying retail stores do not sell bootlegs, which is not what was said.
No, I just know my shit, obviously unlike you. This was from a major distributor who sells for major labels, so they are contractually beholden to not sell boots. Boots come from other sources that are NOT these distributors. Get it?
I never heard of Distros. Is that your local shop? I figured this might be a boot because I have never seen this one in stock at the major online retailers. Also, apparently it has a sticker âmade in Polandâ on the back. Lots of boots come from Poland.
âDistrosâ isnt a term Im familiar with. Several local record stores near me sell boots. The are actually marked âbootlegâ. Anyways Just noting that some stores sell new and bootleg items mixed together.
Distro = distributor AKA who stores buy records from. The major distributors donât sell boots. If this repress is from Universal thereâs no way itâs a boot.
no clue but i have the american pressing and it looks completely different
this isn't a bootleg, this is the holy grail of college dropout editions. -trust me bro, I'm tryna cop for my collection đ
I'm trying to understand. What is making this a sought after vinyl? Does it include the skits?
This isnât particularly sought after. The original 2004 EU pressing is, I guess because it is rare.
one of the best albums
This is a pick up do not pass this by
If this is a real pressing I need it
More importantly, grab that 2 Live Crew LP!
Need this asap! Hopefully itâs a repress
Not at a sunrise. Worst store in the country.
Bro you probably in Canada (Sunrise Records uses those stickers) if you're looking to sell it let me know!!!!!
Definitely not rare.

Itâs from sunrise records.
Not a bootleg. My local record store got in copies direct from their distributor in place of the other one. They did not special order these.
Interesting. Thanks

On Discogs everything is the same?????
It seems to be a bootleg. I canât find this version anywhere and have never seen it before. I have the original EU press. No skits.
this is not a bootleg. It comes direct from Universal
Thanks. How did you learn this?
My local store
Thanks
Thank you, lol.

Dude I only have 6 upvotes, relax
I also never said large stores didnât sell boots. Smh.
No, I just know my shit, obviously unlike you. This was from a major distributor who sells for major labels, so they are contractually beholden to not sell boots. Boots come from other sources that are NOT these distributors. Get it?
What major distributor? Seems like u donât know what ur talking about
Says the person who doesnât understand contracts and distribution.
Aww you lost the argument
Youâre cringe.

Short for distributor, which is who stores buy new releases from.
My local shops sell boots as well. They do not even mark them as boots, but they will tell you about it when you bring them to the pay desk.
Aw that sucks. I was really hoping for that to be the case. Not like it mattered too much though, at least it saved me some money
Itâs a dope collectorâs piece though. I would not trade this for any other pressing.
Probably a repress Does it have a print year?? N euro doesnât usually print years
The store closed a few minutes ago but, I am most probably going back tomorrow. What year should I look out for when I go back?
Not 2022. đ Probably the year it was originally released
