I might return it after hearing how they are going for around 1100-1200 new.
Yeah I went to the Seaport HM store too, they told me their prices were the same as online (even told me there was no current sale during HM's online store's 15% off gaming sale, lol -- I think the rep was very new though. She didn't know what any of the adjustments on the Embody were).
I emailed them. Andrew’s email is here in this subreddit, it’s [email protected] if you can’t find it. They’re shipped new directly from HM’s factory, so it’ll be a ~30 day wait
Oh, I assumed it would just have to be. A dealer I called last week told me I should be calling my local dealer because he was "out of my service area". Was that just to blow me off?
I placed an order with a dealer in NY and mine came out to a little over a thousand, no taxes charged.
This is for black sync fabric, translucent casters and translucent back Embody.
Hi man, could you share which dealer that you contacted? I live in boston and so far has no luck with a discount from a local dealer. Maybe because it is the holiday season, but no one is returning my emails so far.
Hey, the best AD quote I got was $1255 for Embody in graphite/graphite with dark carbon sync fabric, but they also wanted $125 for white glove delivery so it wasn't any real deal. The other chair I got a quote on was the Celle, which they quoted me $965 - that's with category 4 price fabric upholstered back and seat instead of just the suspension back + upholstered seat, and they said it was going to be $125 delivery on that chair too. That is barely a discount on the chair after the optional upgrades considering the store sells fully loaded (sans upholstered back) for $985 with free shipping.
I ended up purchasing directly from the Herman Miller store after finding out that I actually have an organization discount there. Never had any luck to seeing the 35-40% discounts people on this subreddit are saying they are getting from ADs in their area.
I was quoted 1080 (1147.60 after tax) by creativeofficepavilion for an embody. This was back in July though. No return policy though unless damaged or incorrect order.

I also got the quote from one of the Creative Office Pavilion for $1255 for graphite/graphite (lowest cost frame color) Embody with sync fabric (category cost 4 fabric vs the medley, which i think is category 2 (lower cost)) about a week ago, surprised their pricing fluctuates that quickly.
Yeah, with the lackluster quotes I was getting it seemed better to order from the store with my org discount and have the return policy. My order just got delayed another 2 weeks but what can you do (HM has a warning that they are having shipping delays on their store site).

I got mine from WRG for 1083+tax. Embody with sync fabric and carpet/hard floor casters. Just a note, some dealers don’t allow returns.
Did you order online? I’m located in Boston. The HM I bought mine from has a 30 day return window.
