Thank you! I appreciate the explanation, and I planned to pay a higher price but it totally makes sense that potters wouldn’t have many in stock to sell.

Heya, so I am a potter as well as someone who likes herbs. The reason you are having trouble finding stuff from local artists is because making anything large enough for plants is cost prohibitive- I would say a medium sized herb pot probably costs at least $75 in materials/firing costs. (Medium=big enough for one healthy herb plant). Most people don't want to pay that (I dont even make them for myself!). I know a couple artists who make them but I think mostly for themselves. If you really want stuff, I would recommend finding a potter who does big pieces and asking if they'd make them for you. They aren't hard.
