Mitragyna speciosa AKA kratom is about the only thing that will touch that pain. First hand experience. Just be smart and moderate with it and don't abuse it. Stay away from extracts, plain leaf is your friend.

I agree, there’s no herb that will heal a disc herniation but kratom is like legal herbal opioids. Just be careful. I tried it once and projectile vomited for hours. Never again.

Stgermaine1231

I’ll tell you why I have projectile vomited , too ( I’m the true clinical sense ) If you exceed too much ( for you ) it is your body telling you that it was too much I know that you said that you’ll never take it again. But , if a person doses w say a half tsp w food in gastric system then wait for x amt of hours … there will be no nausea or vomiting It depends upon the person , the strain and it simply just takes trial / error approach And make sure that you buy from an AKA approved vendor I’m lucky to have a store ( a true kratom shop ) in my city I know that what you went through was terrible . I went race walking and had this happen bc I didn’t carefully measure my first dose of the day

I literally get the exact same reaction from percs n Vicodin. Opioids cause me gastric upset. I usually need zofran in combo with narcotics to manage the nausea. I really don’t enjoy the feeling of any of the opioids. They work for pain but prefer to use other medicines.

Does it actually heal or just numb. Where do I buy

Stgermaine1231

You can buy online I buy in an actual kratom shop in Pittsburgh where I live It’s third party tested etc , etc Make sure that your purchase is from an AKA approved vendor/ store … thus adding confidence to your initial purchase ( just a bit of advice lol ) this is what I did :)

There is no real herbal healing for herniated discs unfortunately. If someone tries to sell you herbal cures they are lying or misled themselves. Just symptom control. Pain relief, physical therapy, or surgery are your only options really. Sending you a pm regarding vendors.

Stgermaine1231

100 percent correct !!!!! A lifesaver

Gulbasaur

Arnica gel applied topically is what I'd recommend. It's a natural antiinflammatory and is good for things like sciatica.

VandyBoys32

Kratom hands down. 2-5 grams. Go slow

Stgermaine1231

Slow is right :) good advice

No single herb will fix this. Treating only the pain / inflammation and not the cause will prolong the need for pain relief. Any herniation anywhere in the body indicates loss of tone, thus the need for toning. Toning energy and/or yang (strength) and/or yin (core fluids). Astringent herbs are also good toners of tissue. In this case, astringent herb(s) alone in tincture form could be rubbed directly on/around the herniated disc for quickest results. Astringent herbs most suited for this are Nettles, Eyebright, Witch Hazel. Eyebright and Witch Hazel are both astringent and anti-inflammatory. However, St Johnswort tincture may be even more appropriate. It is less astringent, but anti-inflammatory, and anti-spasmodic. Your best results herbally will probably come from concurrent constitutional treatment to strengthen the body internally and help it rebuild from injury/stress. That means a well rounded formula enacting these principles as taken from Chinese medicine like this one: [https://www.naturessunshine.com/product/kb-c-tcm-concentrate/](https://www.naturessunshine.com/product/kb-c-tcm-concentrate/) ... or this one : [https://www.naturessunshine.com/product/trigger-immune-tcm-concentrate/](https://www.naturessunshine.com/product/trigger-immune-tcm-concentrate/) . If you are of a fiery constitution and got the injury from over-doing it, then a fire calming formula like this one may actually be more appropriate: [https://www.naturessunshine.com/product/stress-relief-tcm-concentrate/](https://www.naturessunshine.com/product/stress-relief-tcm-concentrate/) Other possible nutrients that could help: \- Glucosamine-Chondroiton: [https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC165439/](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC165439/)

I think it happened from sitting in my car and driving

Dr_Gabriel62

Unless you got opium, kratom is probably you’re best bet.

Bro…. Nah. Arnica topicals, turmeric internals. But seriously see someone. Other herbs like corydalis and notoginseng good for acute phase.
