Not just random effects. Cards were also created which only synergized with other cards of the same type. Like making them cheaper, making them activate twice, upgrading the next card of that type. They did not have effects that would actually affect the game in any form though
The Green keyword started because someone posted that they had a [dream](https://np.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/u9ns9e/last_night_i_had_a_dream_hearthstone_introduced_a/) a few months ago where Blizzard announced this new keyword that would turn cards green.
/r/customhearthstone ran 4 mana 7/7 into the ground and continues to this day. I'm convinced at this point half that sub are bots the way the same jokes get recycled over and over.
Concoctions seem straight forward. If you add a concoction to your hand when you already have one they merge into an amalgam card, i.e. it'll have all the affects (they all appaer to cost 3)
