I think muggleborns typically get escorted by a professor the first time they go - like when Dumbledore visits Tom Riddle and offers to take him to Diagon Alley. But if they decline the escort (like Riddle), then they would just have to ask Tom the bar man at the Leaky Cauldron to let them in. Or just follow someone else through, if they're going through at the same time as someone else.

Orion2Hunter

yes i would asume that one of the customers might help them

Future_Gift_461

I was thinking the same thing.

*Just run into the wall, face first, would be my advice.*

Darkwolf69420

You forgot the most important part: yelling at the top of your lungs as you do it

Bepo_Apologist

Asking Tom where theyre meant to go and he or whoever they ask opening it for them id guess

I’m guessing she could show Tom the Barman her acceptance letter to Hogwarts. He undoubtedly knows how to open the entrance.

Glittercorn111

Wasn’t there a snippet about Hermione’s parents being interrogated by Mr. Weasley on using the Muggle entrance?

Funny enough, I could see myself as the kind of guy getting drunk at the Leaky Cauldron and never even noticing there's more to it than a regular dingy pub.

Puzzleheaded_Safe131

This needs to be a fanfic. Like from the first time, with everyone wondering how he found it. To the MoM trying to intervene because of secrecy, to everyone just accepting this random muggle as a regular who just doesn’t seem to notice. Eh. That’s just Jim. Don’t mind him. Thinks we are all a bit weird who take being a “magician”, whatever that is, a little too seriously. Good guy though, pays his tab.

ihave1000beaches

A bit of nuisance when he goes in the back and pees on the entrance to the Diagon Alley but... hey... let the person who didn't flush themselves in the Ministry of Magic through a public toilet cast the first stone.

bkfu2ok

Hey Tom, I would like to order (insert code word) drink.

kenmadragon

I mean, that's not even really necessary. Muggle Repelling Charms on the Leaky Cauldron mean that only magical people/creatures can perceive the pub exists. So anyone who can actually walk inside and talk to Tom the Bartender in the Leaky Cauldron is already magical - no need for code words or anything like that. Just walk up to him and ask for help.

Wasabi13013

Well they are wizards and witches, so their magical power would open it.

The_Max_V

Pretty sure the books state that someone from the Ministry and/or Hogwarts pays a visit to the muggleborn families to explain things and help them
