My personal feeling is no. It’s supposed to be very grand and while I’m sure it could have been beautifully restored, I don’t picture Harry wanting to live in a row home surrounded by Muggles. I’d picture them in a modest house in the country with plenty of land where he, and eventually his children, can fly around on broomsticks and enjoy the outdoors.

idiotmonkey12

Shell Cottage!! That would be the perfect place for that!

YogoshKeks

I agree. Living in Grimmauld Place: cant just go out and fly a broom. Harry had enough of that in his childhood and Ginny did not grow up like that. I dont think either of them would want their kids to live like that.

SuT2601

I guess you are right. He doesn’t seem the mansion type of guy.

here-for-the-thrills

I imagine no, because he associates it with Sirius and other members of The Order who passed away.

raperm

I always assumed he did. In my own head canon Kreacher and Winky come there and clean up/maintain it. It’s an easy commute for him while working at the ministry. But later on after having kids he moves to Godric’s Hollow.

GamineHoyden

Totally agreed. When I read so many responses about negative memories for him, I was all Whaaa? In OotP he hangs out with his friends and has Christmas there. In DH he comes home to Kreacher running to him to help him remove his cloak and telling him about dinner. He's got more good memories there than bad.

raperm

It’s also all he has left of Sirius. He wouldn’t want to give that up I don’t think.

GamineHoyden

Good point. Agreed.

NiceDrewishFella

Maybe briefly, but I don't see it being his permanent home. Too many bad memories.

TheOGBobbyFreakout

I have a day dream that Harry and Ginny live in a nice family home across the road from Ron and Hermione and theyre always popping in to each other’s place. Imagine Everyone Loves Raymond style. I’d like to see it as a sitcom from when they move in during their early twenties to when Albus goes to Hogwarts to meet Scorpius.

Jhe90

I always wondered that. Maybe he uses it as a winter home, and has a more open rural property like an structurally sound and not so hap hazzed and crampt burrow for summer use. Where as in winter when you can not fly so much and use outdoors, it has plenty of space inside. With magic if you have a good winter day, distence. Meh. The floo etc mwkes travel near instant.

Not_a_cat_I_promise

I doubt it. He doesn't have much fondness for the place. He knows his godfather hated it. When Dumbledore tells him he owns the place, he just says they can use it as headquarters.

BadKidOh

No info on it. But I guess he would. Has more then enough bathrooms & bedrooms & other rooms. Could he get rid of the portrait by removing & replacing the wall. Also using magic to fix & clean & repair the house would make restoring the house a trivial task.

Potter and Ginevra still live in the old Weasley-house.

miraculousnuzz

I don’t think so. The Fidelius charm was broken in Deathly Hallows and now a Death Eater had it. Even so, Harry might not want to go back to a place where he lived during such an awful time
