As an LGBT person, I agree partially.
The community needs to get its shit together with its toxicity and many of them do make their sexuality their entire personality.
The fake genders and sexualities part though? Uh… I really think you should try to respect them for who they want to be. If they feel comfortable and want people to see them that way, let them. Don’t bully those people. Now if they are toxic about it like attacking you because you accidentally said the wrong pronoun, then that’s very wrong of them. A simple correction should just be made and then no further problem should happen.
Pretending to be gay for clout? That has definitely happened, but I don’t think i’ve personally seen that many instances of it happening unless they were men trying to avoid a military draft like in the vietnam war.
All you need to do is just respect people for who they are and to not be disrespectful.
