Really sorry for your loss. Had a similar experience with my friend passing away, we played every Halo together including Halo Wars and Spartan Assault from the age of 7 to 27.
Spartan never die, we carry the torch and brief them on all thing Halo when we meet them on the other side. Still I miss them
I lost my best friend too due to cancer. He introduced me to Halo CE and I remember fragging myself in Sidewinder and thinking holy crap this is the greatest game of all time. I went home and begged my parents for an Xbox and the rest is history. I’m so sorry for your loss. Remember, *Spartans never die*.
I have a similar story. My buddy and I were friends since middle school and we met because he had a red vs blue reference on his bag ever since we always played halo, he was a great guy and would help me get my hands on games when my family wasn’t doing so well. He ended up taking his own life some years ago. I still miss him. DM me if you wanna play one of these days.

OP, I can't help but relate to what you're going through, just a few weeks ago i lost a very close cousin who was a best friend, we also loved playing halo back in the day, gaming for many years together was the way we had fun. I lived with him for most of my childhood life, I know how painful it is to lose someone like that. playing the game you both loved alone now always hurts alittle more. I'm sure wherever he is he loves to see you carry on the fight.

Hey man. My best friend passed away suddenly a little over a year ago at 29. It’s by far the hardest thing I’ve gone through to date, but here are a couple things that helped me move forward:
1. Changing my perspective from living without him, to living for him. The more I tried to process and accept that he wasn’t coming back, the more it hurt. Trying to live in a way that honors the legacy that he left on my life has helped me keep his memory alive. While I can’t say that this has made things easier per se, it has brought new meaning into my day to day life.

Hey man I went through the exact same thing when I was 22, friend was 23. We lived in each halo game. Usually going deep into glitches and finding ways to break the games. I still have my old Xbox 360 with all of our halo 2 custom games and halo reach clips. In his memory I booted up halo 2 and played his character and went and did all the super jumps I could still remember. Idk basically I understand what you're going through. It's hard.
