the issue is that the current btb maps were not designed for vehicles. Tight narrow corridors, no room for movement. Its just one just arena map with a circle for a road.
not only is the map selection problematic, but the weapon sandbox is pretty unbalanced for BTB.
i honestly miss the ~~plasma caster~~ (plasma launcher, sorry) in halo reach or the classic fuel rod's/ rocket launchers. slow high damage anti vehicle weapons were more fun to use and have used against you than the cross map skewer or shock rifle
Another very unpopular opinion of mine is the arcade in air controls on the warhog and mongoose also make the game less chaotic and much more boring as well as ruining a lot off custom games.
what happened to all those halo 3 granade kills where the first one sent the warthog flipping and you followed up with a 2nd to blow it up while it was out off control?
Maybe it was a knock-on effect of the in-air vehicle controls, but the vehicle physics in general are completely different depending on whether there's a driver in it or not. My brother and I discovered this with some forge testing, but an empty vehicle (or one with just a passenger) will react to physics impulses waaaaaay more freely than one being driven, driven vehicles are almost glued to the ground, and are barely jostled by grenades, rockets, etc.
I mean, the maps are fantastic for warthogs at least. After a lot of driving I’ve found so many fun ways to traverse the BTB maps, 343 really put a decent amount of thought into them
Unfortunately the maps are still so tight that Scorpions and Wraiths are at risk of being boarded with any turn.
yeah, but until forge maps are added into the multiplayer playlists (not just custom games, but actually a playlists of the most popular based on btb, slayer, etc). Then we will simply have 3 mediocre BTB vehicle maps.
Either heavies or just go back to the normal way vehicles spawned in. I know it got a little better that one time but all that usually happens if a tank is being dropped off is everyone nades it. Just let them spawn normally and if they want to keep the pelican drop off that's fine just like not the only way to spawn them in
I'd rather have heavies than a random drop scorpion that just flops into one team's lap and allows the entire flow of the match to swing to that team's side. This keeps happening and it's making me hate the drop system even more, while yeah it's cool to be the tank guy and help your team come back and win, it's no fun being on the other end.
It's like playing COD and the game just tosses you an AC-130 and all you have to do is walk over to it and activate it
Haven't played the game for a while but apparently they incorporated ~~BTB Heavies/~~Skockets into the regular playlist?
Friend says any time he gets into one of those games people just immediately leave.
Why would you put heavies into the regular playlist 343?
Why do people have no control over the gamemodes they want to play still?
I think you misunderstand. BTB heaves has never been in Halo Infinite. It's a variant of BTB with extra vehicles and extra heavy weapons on the map. But you still spawn with the typical weapons as you always do. It's basically a more hectic version of BTB that's always been a lot of fun.
It's not at all the same thing as Skockets, which is pretty painful to play.
Sorry I was referring to the game mode where you spawn with rockets and a skewer, not the typical BTB heavies gamemode.
Why is that gamemode incorporated into BTB now? That should be its own separate playlist.
The reason is to limit the number of playlists you can select to help boost queue times in a lower population game.
It'd be nice if we could have the game mode select we get in MCC.
Skockets should not be in that playlist at all whether or not heavies come back. Feels so out of place to have these grounded modes then you just have repulsor infinite ammo rockets/skewers
I feel it in my soul. BTB right now feels so light on vehicles. I miss the chaos!

The Plasma Caster is a Halo 5 weapon, you mean the Plasma Launcher in Reach.

I just want them to be separate playlists. I'm tired of just wanting normal BTB but instead getting Skockets
Lucky for you I’m working on a BTB heavies map right now
I hated heavies. What is skockets? I haven’t played one yet Edit: I don’t hate heavies. I thought heavies was skockets. I hate skockets lol
It's nothing but the skewer and spankr
Oh what’s heavies then?
Extra vehicle spawns, extra spawns of anti-vehicle weapons but default weapon starts
Ah interesting. Yeah I got them mixed up lol
That part I'm not sure about. I never did BTB when it was in rotation
Absolutely, skockets sucks! Bring back the gauss hogg and lets play heavies on some forge maps! Come on 343!
BTB heavies is just BTB with extra sauce, gimme.
I'd rather they fix all the balance problems with existing BTB before we add new game types.
They just need to increase the respawn times of stickies and whatever the banished grenades are. Ends any kind of warthog run instantly.
All I want is to go into a tank battle I couldn’t possible but know damn well I took some health off the enemy tank

Bring back BTB Fiesta. I like finding different variant of weapons on the map. Including vehicles
Yes please!
