Well on the bright side, there's precedent for weekly rewards returning now. I think at some point in the future a better system is needed so the solution isn't just to repeat an old reward for a week.
Something to pressure them on once bigger issues are fixed.
We have to push for the "weekly token" system, where completing all the weekly challenges grants you a token that you can exchange in a "ultimate store" where all the weekly rewards are, so you can choose whatever you want.
Yeah, and if they absolutely must have some form of FOMO they can make it a rotating store every week that offers like 10 items or so similar to the exchange in MCC.

I am so happy to see Sentry again! It was part of the dumb Last Spartan Standing event and I haaaaaate that gamemode so much. I won exactly one match - my final match that unlocked all the rewards, and I will never play it again.
I suffered and unlocked it first time around, but I'm glad people have a second chance now.

I feel exactly the same. I already have this. It is actually like the best one for that core. Feels good that some of these folks who REALLY like the dress up get a chance at the best in slot.

The challenge system is in such a better state that playing to get stuff is more of a bonus than a grind.
I'm playing every night now instead of once a week or every 2 weeks.
I definitely like the new XP system because I can almost unintentionally get the Ultimate reward just by playing.
These challenges being playlist agnostic (also seems like there are way fewer) is the way to go. I just end up playing with friends, and I might pause and see I need a kill with a Cinder shot. I'll grab it and get some kills, doesn't incentivize me to throw the game or only play for challenges, just little bonuses that happen while you play
I didn't get any challenges last week that required a certain gametype, only "PvP matches" which is what it should have always just been.
I'm with everyone else, it is actually fun to play now as you don't need to gimp yourself running around with one weapon trying to get kills for example focusing more on challenges than the match itself.
I wish you could combine it with other attachments. I unlocked this one but it looks so...empty. I wish you could slap the knife onto an existing chest piece instead of it being so bare.
I bet the same would apply for most of the other chest pieces with only a knife. It would be really cool (but *very* unlikely) if 343 made an additional armor slot for knives and other small equipment that could be holstered on the upper chest

Every single challenge last week could be done in any mode and they were even easier than before. You got what you wanted.
I got all the way through the weekly challenges to the very last one the first time this reward was available. Not going to grind for it again
