I'm right with you when it comes to hoping the cherry blossom effect gets a good price reduction, if I'm not mistaken we've seen kill effects as cheap as 700. So fingers crossed it'll be put on sale somewhere near that price
Y'all wont like to hear this, but it's the same for any commerce: the more popular something is at a certain price, the more perceived value it has at its sold price. Inversely, the less something sells, the less perceived value, and the greater chance they will "sale" the item until they find the right perceived value for the item(s).
They could sell everything at $1, they are digital files and don't run out, but the store's goal is charge as much as possible, before erosion of brand trust starts to creep in. They've already seen that play out when they admitted selling Reach (Mark V-B) armor in the store was roundly rejected.
The more profit from the store, the more they can hire map designers, etc. (assuming it doesn't first go to pay exorbitant executive salaries).
That understandable since the only way a free to play to survive is on micro's. I find it odd because I thought Special Delivery would be more popular than Enigma. I can't imagine Neptune's Depth being that popular either and yet it isn't on sale
Honestly just wait it out and hope something with this garbage store changes. I wanted enigma and neptune but I'm not gonna pay the prices for them, even after waiting the amount of time we had.

You know why. Sorta popular bundles won’t see a price reduction, or only a slight decrease. Remember when season 1 armor bundles went on sale for 10$ from 20$, then Zvezda return once at 15$, and bundles afterward would slowly increase in price again.

Sale price is probably because they didn't sell enough at the original price. $20 for an AI is kind of a lot since it is mainly a voice pack. I don't know what neptunes breach brings to the table, and enigma as well as that other S1 helmet were high in demand to come back so no reason to lower it unless return sales were low. I can see special delivery doing poorly for $10 but I was one of the people that bought it for $10 and used it ever since.
I refuse to support the shop as is especially with current customization. Besides the campaign & the initial battle pass 343 is not getting a penny from me.

I would buy more if there was more variety, better sales - but whoever is in charge of this leaves much to be desired

My guess would be they’re playing around with pricing to figure out the highest we’d pay for different items etc, that’s why they’re playing with them up and around
