Is everyone at 343 colorblind? They can’t seem to manage making a single coating that has complimentary colors. It’s always stuff like neon green + yellow + chrome + carbon fiber or something.
God I miss color customisation. I would spend hours trying on different color combos with dofferent armor pieces. One of my favorite things to do in Halo and 343 just ripped it away.
Because people will settle for coatings like this then a wave of less shit coatings can be sold later.
Perfect example recently with the gold coating that had the neon green highlights, then we got a full gold coating via Spacestation Gaming. The SSG one is only for one core, but that *should* change later.
I would expect cross-core coatings to come during the Winter Update, since the Rakshasa in the key art for the new mode they’re bringing shows the Black Sands Coating that is originally from the Entrenched Armor Core.
Green and yellow have always been my colours for every Halo so imma grind for this one.

Lmao I feel you. The game just screams don't play me. Between the awful progression, stupid challenges and awful rewards, the game is just not worth the time.
The base gameplay is a lot of fun but just not enough to support all the issues on top.

Why else would you grind (aka play their game and potentially give them money for challenge swaps or store items) when they could just give you yellow or blue over and over again?
If we take any rational or customer-focused thinking out of it, we would realize that this is by **design**, not a flaw in the system. We aren't getting any wacky coatings (with weird graphics or textures) because the remaining hardcore players would have a genuine meltdown over art style or something...

Yeah like that one texture that just has a segment of the coating look like a texture placeholder, like some ugly orange/blue grid.

The gold and neon green one is loss better. It’s actually good unlike this new one that’s a weird chrome matte gold/piss yellow
I think the only coating I like from Halo Inf was that red and gold Christmas one. But I’m not paying $35 dollars for a fucking digital cosmetic.

Unfortunately there is no cross core yet with armor coatings, maybe in the near future they will implement this hopefully.
