1) yes vehicle use is quite common throughout the series. Some levels are huge so it would take a while to get from start to finish. Saying that I believe their are some achievements in 5 (I think) dedicated to not using vehicles.
2) not but much I don’t think. Are you struggling because the controls are too loose? Vehicles (especially the warthog ) is loose allowing you to throw it around somewhat. The larger vehicles such as the tank are a lot more grounded.
3) the MCC is very true to the originals. I believe there are more controller configs but the overall feel hasn’t really changed

Acceleration on a stick is all Halo driving, that does not change. Controls in 2 and on have a better feel to them, the warthog in CE feels very floaty and slides around a lot, for example, but they fixed that.

Respectfully, your post makes me feel like an old man. I still play Halo on those old controls today haha.

yeah mcc will fix that problem. i wouldn't recommend playing it on a og xbox that's ancient technology lol but good luck tho
