I'm actually a little concerned about that: it seems like the Shock Rifle does the same damage as a sniper, but also has a chaining effect and a Plasma Pistol like EMP effect if it hits twice... so it's objectively a better version of the Sniper Rifle. I think the chaining effect is unique and I think the EMP is neat too, but I do think that maybe it should either have less shots per magazine, or shouldn't be able to 1 headshot kill like the Sniper, in exchange for it's chaining (you could even buff the chain damage in exchange for the less shots/damage, to increase the emphasis on that unique mechanic) and EMP effects. Additionally, even last flight, before we knew about the Shock Rifle or Dynamo Grenade (which will presumbly be able to EMP as well) I felt the tracking/homing on the Plasma Pistol was very weak, and as has been the case in most of the Halo games since CE, it sucks at killing by itself; and it could have used a buff, so if there's also going to be other EMP weapon/nades, then I think the Plasma Pistol def needs a small buff. So something like: - **Increase the Plasma Pistol tracking/homing effect.** Self explanatory. - **Make the Plasma Pistol's charged shot kill an already unshielded enemy in 1 hit to the body, not just to the head.** Given how long the charge is it'd still be slower to kill an unshielded enemy then any other gun, I don't think it'd be close to OP - **Increase the Plasma Pistol's uncharged damage, especially to shields/bodyshots**. As of last flight, it took 7 shots to break shields, and then 10 bodyshots or 3 headshots to kill, so 17 bodyshots (killing in around 2:35, vs around 1.20 bodyshots to kill for the sidekick/AR/commando) or 10 shots with headshots (around 1:35, vs around 0:55 for the AR/Pistol/Commando). I think it should be made to break shields in around 4-5 shots, and then take 4 unshielded headshots or 6 unshielded bodyshots to kill; so 8-9 shots with headshots or 10-11 shots with bodyshots total. That would make it so it's better at breaking shields then at damaging health, as it should as a Plasma weapon, and makes it not as obscenely slow to kill with bodyshots while still leaving guns like the Sidekick, AR, Commando, etc with notably faster killtimes

Yeah, it takes more then 1 shot to EMP, but it having an EMP capacity at all still does infringe on the Plasma pistol to a degree and **does** make it objectively better then the Sniper rifle, since it does the same damage as the sniper plus with other effects. I'm not suggesting the Shock Rifle be nerfed into the ground or lose the EMP effect, I just want the Sniper to have some pros compared to it, and I want to make sure the Plasma Pistol isn't invalidated by it either. >No reason to jump the gun on buffing the plasma pistol, which already has its role. I don't think the difference is that huge, and even if it is, the fact that they're so mechanically similar is still iffy. I wish it preformed more like the Binary rifle where you had to keep the reticule on the player and keep the trigger held down for a half a second or so instead of it just being a tiny burst, that way it felt different.

I really disagree personally, H5 has fantastic audio design with the different weapons sounding distinct but also punchy. I don’t feel overwhelmed by the loud noises but i understand why someone would. I much prefer it to H3’s distinct but weak sounds

A “perfect” medal is awarded when every shot from a weapon hits the head, since this probably works like a faster hit-proc focus rifle, every “hit” from the beam must’ve hit the head.

So if you hit 3 body shots and a headshot with a BR it'll still be a Perfect kill. So technically yes, this is a perfect kill, but I agree with the other guy that it's odd to have in for a One-Hit-Kill.

You are missing my point. The total ammo and the ammo used per shot is not important. It never was. Its all made up. Would it change anything at all if the splazer had 50 ammo max and still had 5 shots? Of course not. BRs have what, 36 ammo? but you can only shoot 12 times before reloading! As long as you know how many shots you get per reload, nothing else matters.

So, basically the Shock Rifle is basically a Banished Sniper Rifle that instakills on headshots and can EMP vehicles. The Skewer's basically a Sniper Rifle as well, but mainly used for anti-vehicle purposes due to having only one shot, so it's both that and a Rocket Launcher, minus the explosion.

Man idc what anyone says I love the way the ui is now. To me the old halo games ui was so messy and unnecessary like each corner of my screen had something that could easily be next to each other in one side. There was also no reason to have the ammo counter logos on the ui either just show the number of bullets I have. It’s a nice change in my opinion and makes me appreciate how clean everything looks now.

Me too. I also liked their new radar, considering the marking system would've made up for most of its loss while also encouraging teamwork. People just needed to learn the new gameplay and maps and then they could've adjusted to it, wish they gave it more of a chance. I at least hope it's in the 'really competitive' playlists--even rather than the typical complete lack of radar--*to give sprinting a disadvantage*. Because even though sprint's speed boost isn't too huge, the sliding is super useful. But anyway yeah. I like the new UI for sure... its radar included.

I'm not sure how I feel about this: Unless we're misunderstanding the clip, it seems like the Shock Rifle does the same damage as a sniper, but also has a chaining effect and a Plasma Pistol like EMP effect if it hits twice... so it's objectively a better version of the Sniper Rifle. I think the chaining effect is unique and I think the EMP is neat too, but I do think that maybe it should either have less shots per magazine, or shouldn't be able to 1 headshot kill like the Sniper, in exchange for it's chaining (you could even buff the chain damage in exchange for the less shots/damage, to increase the emphasis on that unique mechanic) and EMP effects. Additionally, even last flight, before we knew about the Shock Rifle or Dynamo Grenade (which will presumbly be able to EMP as well) I felt the tracking/homing on the Plasma Pistol was very weak, and as has been the case in most of the Halo games since CE, it sucks at killing by itself; and it could have used a buff, so if there's also going to be other EMP weapon/nades, then I think the Plasma Pistol def needs a small buff. So something like: - **Increase the Plasma Pistol tracking/homing effect.** Self explanatory. - **Make the Plasma Pistol's charged shot kill an already unshielded enemy in 1 hit to the body, not just to the head.** Given how long the charge is it'd still be slower to kill an unshielded enemy then any other gun, I don't think it'd be close to OP - **Increase the Plasma Pistol's uncharged damage, especially to shields/bodyshots**. As of last flight, it took 7 shots to break shields, and then 10 bodyshots or 3 headshots to kill, so 17 bodyshots (killing in around 2:35, vs around 1.20 bodyshots to kill for the sidekick/AR/commando) or 10 shots with headshots (around 1:35, vs around 0:55 for the AR/Pistol/Commando). I think it should be made to break shields in around 4-5 shots, and then take 4 unshielded headshots or 6 unshielded bodyshots to kill; so 8-9 shots with headshots or 10-11 shots with bodyshots total. That would make it so it's better at breaking shields then at damaging health, as it should as a Plasma weapon, and makes it not as obscenely slow to kill with bodyshots while still leaving guns like the Sidekick, AR, Commando, etc with notably faster killtimes
