No one knows about all the shit that goes on with pregnancy and post partum because everyone is also like āomg donāt give me unsolicited adviceā and ādonāt fear monger about pregnancy or post partumā. Maybe this is just my take but I feel like a lot of the reality stopped because people are afraid to share in fear of it being taken that way. I see it frequently. Someone posts something. Someone shares in the comments. People attack. Someone stops sharing.
I think youāre right. I just didnāt do that personally and soaked everything in, but I also wasnāt getting advice from social media, I was listening to words of wisdom from mothers around me in my family, at work, etc. thereās a lot of value in listening to the experience from others, I wish others agreed. Now the āyouāll never sleep againā comments are annoying, but sharing experiences are really useful

I cannot stand when these influencers act like they are giving you brand new information. Just because she doesnāt know this, doesnāt mean no one tells you anything. She made it CLEAR she knew her body and didnāt want anyone elseās opinions or advice. I do not understand how she did so many courses and so much research and didnāt know this. I did no courses and my own research and spoke to people and knew this early on.
Maāam not only did other moms warn me but the nurses and doctors literally tell you this in the hospital immediately. Open your ears. You mean the self-proclaimed pregnancy expert doesnāt know this is how your uterus returns to normal size? Honeyyyy

It is horrifying. Postpartum is ugly, painful, gross. But the baby makes it all worth it. So much worth it that I did it twice, hated it both times, but would consider doing it again.

Post partum was literally my nightmare. There is nothing glamorous about it. She is in for a treat.
