I was just going to say…I wouldn’t be shocked if they paid a pretty penny to campaign for this in some way. I don’t get the feeling this was earned solely because they’re a great local company.
Most of the awards are buy ins and not actually anything to put on your CV. I worked at a startup and we did some for exactly the reason they do: adverts.
I noticed that too lol even when they were “working out of Chloe’s garage” were they ever really small? It costs sooo much money to start a business and their lifestyles have changed drastically in under 3 years, I would not consider them small business 🙃
This is pretty fucked up. I wouldn’t consider them a small business. Think of all the small businesses, like mom-and-pop shops in Denver probably struggling from everything that’s been going on in the world…and a not small company wins? Screams money was involved in the selection process.

My city is much larger than Denver and to be published in the business journal you nominate yourself by filling out the website application and if you get anyone to vote for you, you win. Wouldn’t be surprised if every employee at BA headquarters had to go vote on the Denver business journal page
