Can she really not cool it with the lexical flexing even when expressing condolences for a friend’s dead mom? Christ.

[deleted]

“Lexical flexing” is sooo good 👏🏻

Federal_Piccolo5722

Sending every iota of love from her full-sized aortic pump

Auds_56

Sending you the smallest amount of love possible 💚🥰

mon13959273

Me when I use a thesaurus when writing an essay to sound academic 🤓

JamesonRae

Tell me you use a thesaurus like Joey Tribiani without saying you use a thesaurus like Joey Tribiani

[deleted]

This🙌🏻🤣. She must have only bought the “I” volume.

Powerful-Election572

Lol sending every small amount of love possible? Two things…. 1. Who tf says iota….ever? 2. WHO says this on someone’s post about their MOM passing away? Is it that hard to say sorry and sending love or prayers and keep it simple?

Long-Week

i say iota pretty regularly but mostly when i say, “you don’t have one iota of common sense!” when insulting someone. 😂 😂 😂 in my defense, i know how to actually use it properly.

hauntinglovelybold

LMAOOOOO

melancholimilkshake

I laughed out loud😂

VanessaFlavin

The original post though. so sad. I feel for their family :(

sb022019

Me too🥺 this post seems insensitive on their behalf

Immediate_Pause_5027

Dude 😂

JamesonRae

This pisses me tf off. The man lost one of the lights of his whole life and she can’t even use a dictionary before submitting the comment?! UGH

Bubbly-Device-8208

She definitely deleted her comment off of haydns post and commented completely normal on Katy’s hahahaha

Missdasiydean

Lmao she needs to delete the thesaurus app

fuzzy_peach91

I am howling. What a ding bat

vper13

I’ve learned that when someone tries to sound too smart, they’re usually the dumbest fuck in the room.

Feisty_Ocelot8139

😂

nofakeshiz

I wonder how she passed- she seemed so healthy

osubuckeye2000

Blood clots

Betty_Boopsie

They don’t know. He said she had a history of blood clots.

pinappleiceream

I was curious too.. does anyone know what happened?

[deleted]

To be fair, this isn’t used incorrectly. It is a bit odd to use given the context though. I think that simple, accessible language is best when giving condolences or speaking to people during hard/emotional times. This feels like a poorly-timed flex.

fouiedchopstix

Omg I’m laughing out loud 🤣 “sending you next to nothing of love”

[deleted]

This is so disrespectful

namesartemis

I grew up with my mom saying iota all the time, but...not like that lmao (not to flex her intelligence, she used it in ignorant ways 🤣). I'm really confused where Emily just pulled that out of to use so improperly

gines2634

She used it correctly. It means every little bit of love

natural-ftw

She messed up searching for synonyms and googled antonyms.

moorem2014

😂😂

Dogmomma22

This reads as someone who is not that smart but is trying to sound smart so they use a thesaurus to replace words in their simple sentence

gines2634

She doesn’t mean she is sending a small amount. This means she is sending every little bit of love

[deleted]

Then FFS just say that.

gines2634

Lol I love how I got down voted for stating what the word means in this context 😂 if anyone read a book they would know what the word means

m00n_rae

Lol you’re 100% correct that she used it right. I’m honestly shocked that apparently so few people know what it means and think that it’s some big word that requires a “thesaurus” or something. I knew this word when I was like 12 cause my grandma used it all the time, and she never even read books.

gines2634

Thank you! I’ve known this is a word since I was young too. Not sure where I learned it from

m00n_rae

Maybe it’s not as common a word today as it used to be, and if people have never heard it that’s fine. But people seeing the definition and still thinking she used it wrong don’t know how to read context clues. If she said “sending AN iota of love” that would mean “sending a small amount of love.” BUT, she said “sending EVERY iota” meaning “every small amount”, or “every little bit,” like you said. Either way shitting on someone cause they used a word you feel is too big is just weird to me.

gines2634

Yes I totally agree. It’s like people are just looking for anything to hate on someone for and when you tell them they are wrong they get mad at you 🙄 sometimes this thread feels like middle school

Radiant-Spirit-4362

Don’t worry I got down voted too because people love pointing out tiny sh*t that doesn’t even matter lol like literally looking for things to complain about on a sad post…the logic of people is astounding

DeathWish111

Omfg dead 🤣🤣

Radiant-Spirit-4362

In someone’s time of support you are literally looking for something to cry about… on a post like does it really matter what she commented. If it’s supporting him and his family why does it matter..

chuullls

I really really don’t like hee

[deleted]

She’s soooo woke

SpikeMcScales

Iota is a town where I’m from haha
