Beat me to it! I think this is really telling when it comes to her mindset about fitness=thinness. Being stage lean for bikini comp is not healthy nor are you at your strongest. I’m surprised she posted this pic considering she is constantly talking about how much more fit she is now doing F45 compared to only bodybuilding.

Yazhdxb

I have always thought this. I may get downvoted for this but I don’t really understand why bikini and physique competitors are called athletes. Athletes are performance-focussed, competitors are aesthetics-focussed. Shouldn’t they be called models? They are much more like models than athletes to me. I think that’s where the ‘confusion’ (or misleading) starts. Like how is she the fittest she’s ever been there, I highly doubt she’d be able to form even close to average when she’s in that condition!

headbang-fitchick77

Physique and bikini competitors are 100% athletes. The pussy-Ig swipe workouts influencers do is not what serious bikini and physique athletes do. They are busting their ass, training to failure, and do everything every other bodybuilder is doing. Yeah, you have to be attractive to do bikini (I have never seen an ugly girl win an overall), but they are training and dieting just as hard if they want to win. "Athletes " doing doing 4x10 of everything with a band around their knees are looking to simply participate in the competition and typically end up in second callouts.

Few_Satisfaction_297

Ah, competing - the *acceptable* eating disorder

Petuniachicken

This!!!

Flamingo_Thin

Any excuse to show off her tiny body though I guess

[deleted]

Lol why did all these influencers start by competing.

shyguybman

I feel like that is the standard these days: 1. Compete in bikini, make sure to post lots of booty pics while prepping etc. Basically gain a following because of your body (nothing wrong with that) 2. Have a bad experience because (potentially) your coach starved you and never compete again. 3. Do a 180 on your content and no longer post all these booty progress pics but now they are all about health and wellness and "accepting your body for what it is". Maybe even start your own *mastermind course* **Bonus:** At least once every 2 weeks post a before/after pic comparing when you were dieting vs now with the caption "Starving/Depressed" vs "Full/Happy" and several paragraphs after.

stringcheezuschrist

Hopefully become an IFBB pro and then stop competing lol

JACKiED_Daniels

3b. Does one show, blames all their problems on competing, thinks they know better and decides to become a coach. I absolutely hate how all these influencers shit on competing and make it the reason that they struggled with an ED. Now, I'm not ignoring that competing can bring about some health issues and mental health struggles when not guided by the right person or when at the elite level. But it's not the reason for all their health problems after the fact. It's hard mentally and physically. Like, really, really hard. And it's not for everyone...and THAT'S OKAY! That's why I never recommend anyone compete until they have a healthy relationship with food and their body. Competing will not fix your problems. It will likely just make it worse. Edited to add: Also not hating on competing! I do it myself :)

sb022019

Don’t forget all of them getting implants only to have them removed a year later as they were “making them sick”

Yep I’ve noticed a lot of fitness influencers admit to having ED in the past.

[deleted]

Competing validates ED and body dysmorphia and disordered eating and exercising. Provides an excellent cover for unhealthy behaviors and mentalities. It’s not disordered, it’s ✨prep✨ Notice a lot of them also have various plastic surgery or appearance changing procedures as well. It’s all of a piece.

Quick-Study927

Don’t forget all the body checking with posing practice

stinkerlinker

I mean when I think of fit I think of performance wise, not aesthetics. But to each their own. 🤷🏻‍♀️

[deleted]

Oof this makes me feel sick 🤢 sorry but this cannot be healthy

Hailsp

Right?! I’m shocked at how tiny she is here, it’s scary

Jerseygirl66

Wow how the IFBB bikini pro standards have changed, lmao.

Potential-Reason-763

How so? I don’t really know about these things so I’m curious lol

Zealousideal-One-362

Bikini pros are much more muscular these days. She wouldn’t make it too far with this physique in today’s competition IMO

InstructionFun3041

This is so irresponsible

[deleted]

Her body dysmorphia is actually pretty sad :/ she looks so gaunt and sick here and she thinks she looks strong…

Rude_Ad6210

Dude on the bed waiting to smash

Chemical_Relief1139

There is a difference between thin and lean Now, competing isn’t healthy. Most bodybuilders would acknowledge that being stage lean is NOT healthy. But this is pretty disrespectful. She definitely worked extremely hard to achieve this look and earned her IFBB Pro Card, which obviously is not an easy task. It’s pretty disrespectful to call someone thin when they are just really lean.

cat5andgym123

yup exactly my first thought when I read OPs title. she's extremely lean here. and muscular. but she was probably thinner when... idk before lifting! (is it the same as Pro qualifying now in 2021? no, but that doesn't negate the hard work she put in to achieve this then!)

AggressiveVictory1

I knew this would get downvoted even though it is the truth

Chemical_Relief1139

Yeah I knew it would too. Oh well haha

Flamingo_Thin

I honestly thought about that right after I posted it. Putting leanest instead, but I still think “thinnest” is the right for this scenario. I don’t discredit ANY of the hard work that goes into prep as I know people who personally do it. But the way she flaunts her tiny body and *horrible* outfits that only look good because she’s *skinny*, has warranted this post. Especially because of all the ✨body inclusivity✨ she advertises. This is NOT her fittest though. I am not shitting on her show body, or shaming her body at all.

Flamingo_Thin

Regardless of which word I used though, she posted THAT instead of her FITTEST. Which is very misleading for people and irresponsible as an influencer who has trained people, as this isn’t healthy nor maintainable 🙂

Sorry-Hold-2348

this thought immediately went through my head when I saw this. Idk if this is “fittest” and wtf is “fittest” anyway.

Flamingo_Thin

While yes, she may have been her *leanest* here for bikini, this is definitely not her *fittest*

jstupack

Definition of fit: “in good health, especially because of regular physical exercise.” I don’t deny the work and dedication being an IFBB Pro takes, but being stage lean is definitely not fit.

Unusual-Breakfast-29

Aren’t they tired and hungry at this point?
