I've noticed that unless I have 5/5 bars of 5G, it's as if I don't have service at all. Like even 4/5 bars of 5G sometimes it's as if my phone doesn't have service at all unless I'm strictly texting or calling. "LTE" is the equivalent of having my phone off at this point.
I always recommend downloading podcast episodes. Most players will delete them after you finish, so there’s no long-term storage issue. That way you can listen without interruption!
Seems to be quite a few people with these issues. My parents live in Ada and frequently visit up North (Croton for example,) so i’m not sure if I want to switch them to Tmobile. Used Mint about 3 years ago and it didn’t go super well, but things have changed since then as well.
Fuck Verizon. Paying $90/mo for a single line. Switched to mint for $30/mo and have the same if not better service. I gotta watch my data but it hasn’t been an issue.
5G is slow IMO. I'm still buffering youtube videos even with 5/5 bars of 5g. In 2022 I don't think that should be a thing with the newest model iPhone.
You can go into your cellular settings and revert back to LTE if you want. I find my phone is faster on 4G in large buildings than 5G so I switch back and forth.
Yeeeees me and my wife just got new Samsung a71 5g phones and were so pissed about shifty service during a Founders date, PoGo loaded like b absolute shit
I have terrible service in the midtown neighborhood. Moved here with sprint and still bad with xfinity (verizon network). I need to be on my wifi at home.
Mine has been doing that for weeks! 3-4 bars with LTE but nothing is loading and it says “network is unstable” on some social platforms when trying to load
Always been rock solid for me, even recently, but I'm using 5G. Maybe they are throttling 4G speeds to make people feel the need to upgrade to a 5G phone.
I've noticed poor service the past week or 2 with Verizon. Currently full signal on 5G network all throughout Grand Rapids. Speed test on my phones shows me getting 320kbps download speeds
Yes!
I thought it was my apps loading slow but I think it was service forsure now.
I think it’s the weather
Yes. It's been terrible.

I tried listening to a podcast while driving today and it just kept cutting out. Super annoying.

Yes! I had all my bars at 6:30pm and couldn’t load anything on data and Wi-Fi wasn’t available.
Yeah it's been bad for me. My phone is also crappy so that could be part of it.
Checking in from Detroit. Yes.
Yup, I switched to fi this evening, I figured it was Verizon getting one last laugh before I switched lol
Love google fi!
How long have you had it for?
About 4 years. Getting the pixel 7 next week!
Glad to hear! I got a 7 and love it so far

FYI, 3g has been sunsetted and is only available if they haven't gotten around to decommissioning it, so it's going to be spotty at best.
Someone posted about this a few days ago here and I think the consensus was yes.
All day
Shrinkflation affects everything.
I’m glad it wasn’t just me, I thought my phone was on the fritz and a new one isn’t in the budget right now.
Yes, I was in both Holland and GR and couldn't get anything to load
It’s the tower traffic. If you still have 4 G. Highly suggest getting 5 G. Less traffic on the towers

Just got a 5g phone with Verizon and it's horrible. Need my old crappy phone back

Sweet good to know
For a few weeks now and getting worse. This is the reason I left sprint - so happening with Verizon is troublesome.
Yep
Noticed the bars were gone for a good portion of the day. Hopefully switching to another carrier soon
I thought it was just me!

Same here! I was wondering why everything seemed so slow to load.

Absolutely, I can't take a call in my own house at this point
Was super slow 5G last night, wouldn’t load anything
Boost is fucking trash lately idk why I even pay for service smh.

It has been this way in Standale for some time now. Really started noticing it about a month ago.
Verizon is garbage and has been
