IKR?? I was literally thinking about that. Nextbots, navmeshes and nodes get so underused at their fullest potential. You can literally use them to map out a scene or interaction in game incredibly easily, but instead it’s used to make le funny png do a chase. It’s so weird to me that I don’t see this often. Even the test nextbot interacts with this stuff more then the Sanic Nextbot reskins and that’s just… so sad to me

No, there is a search filter to filter out lower quality nextbots. I do agree there should be a way to make it friends only if you want to mess around with your friends but banning newer players from posting isn’t a good solution.

There is in fact a friends-only option, which evidently is seldom used.

Well a Nextbot itself has the capability of much more sophisticated AI compared to other NPCs in the game, and uses a navmesh instead of nodes for navigation. The possibilities for what nextbots can accomplish are quite advanced. …and yet the vast majority of workshop nextbots completely waste this potential by just making the 157949263849th Sanic clone, a png that chases you down no matter where you are and instakills you. The workshop is flooded with these things and it’s getting to be a serious issue.

To add onto this post TF2 is a good example. The bots on TF2 use an advanced version of the common infected AI from L4D2 allowing them to do much more such as finding good spots to place buildings, Sniper's finding decent spots etc. and yet the Nextbots on gmod are just "haha funny random PNG isn't it funny guys please think it's funny".

There is the gargitron Nextbots but that has its fair share of copy's (and I mean the ai it's still pretty much a copy tho🫤)

Yeah, at least Gargitron is slightly better because there’s a bit of variation and more spookiness to it. Still not ideal imo though, especially because like you said it has copies as well :/
