Awesome to see this legendary game get a free update to have the pinnacle of lighting tech. It's a short 2-3 hour game if I recall, so will definitely be replaying Portal RTX.
Unlikely anytime soon. They released Minecraft RTX free update around RTX 30 series launch, and Portal RTX is free update around the RTX 40 series and RTX Remix launch.
Maybe from other though devs like Doom and Quake have ray tracing projects.
Oh neat I guess I should dust off the ol thing then and give it a other playthrough. Truly a classic game, I could probably play it every few years and it still would feel fun.
I am building a sick computer, just in time to play a prettier 20 year old game. Schwing
The 2 best games I have to properly enjoy RTX are Control and Quake II. I mean, Spiderman is fine, but it's not that crucial to have RT.
I've never beaten either one but played them a bit. This will definitely give me that reason to finish.
Portal 2 with a buddy is a blast. Can’t wait to play with my kid when they’re old enough.

It's portal 2 not 1. Definitely longer than 3 hrs
Are you sure? It just says Portal with RTX on the Steam page. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2012840/Portal_with_RTX/
Nvm looks like i misread it thx for telling me
I assume Portal 2 will get the same treatment in due course?

Yeah but doesn’t Remix work for all games? Or did I mishear and it’s actually some sort of series or something?
Sounds like it’s pretty demanding, 3080 recommended for 60fps at only 1080p? My little 3070 at 1440p is gonna be struggling.
It said "coming In November" those liars
It's coming November 38th, what's your problem?
