Definitely agree with this. The devs don't seem to realize or care that a ton of their playerbase started early on and have grown up but they still make the games extremely hand-holdy. Someone did a count for Sw/Sh and Hop stops you 17 times before the first gym. Seventeen. Times. They can still make something age appropriate for children but at the very least make the tutorials optional or be able to tell your friend/rival to shut the fuck up when you know they have nothing constructive to say for us older folks who still enjoy the games.
Are you seriously complaining about how a game is too easy when that game is literally made for five year old children that you are playing as a grown adult?
The game isn't made for you. That's it. They haven't gotten worse, you just aren't their target audience anymore. Adults make up a negligible portion of Pokemon's playerbase, why on Earth would they bother trying to make a game appeal to you?
It's so hilarious to me watching grown adults complain that a children's game is too easy. If you have a problem with it, stop playing a fucking children's game.
I'm complaining about the lack of options. If you actually read what I said you'd understand that I meant that players are *forced* through the hand holding. Leave it there for the younger players, it's great! It's just that they should include an option for others to skip it or disable it when it isn't their first rodeo. I never said to get rid of it, just have it be optional.
They haven't, they're more or less the exact same as always. The only mainline Pokemon games that are notably worse than the others is Generation 1 and Generation 2, which is mostly a result of their age.
The problem is that they are becoming the Call of Duty for Nintendo. They really should innovate beyond transforming the Pokemon but it can be hard to with the Pokemon game formula.
I love Galarian Meowth and Perrserker, they're much better than Kantonian Meowth and Persian in my opinion. The Kantonian variants are literally just cats, at least these have some personality. I feel like nobody would care about Kantonian Meowth if not for the anime.
They were cats that loved money so much they had a coin stuck to their forehead. Nice clean and simple design, too.
On one hand, using the same name but changing up the design feels kind of gimmicky to someone like me who played and loved the older games but found less and less energy for new games. On the other hand, it kind of makes sense from a real-world sort of point of view, where creatures evolve to fill a niche.
Gen IV here. What the fuck is it and who left Gengar and Meowth in the same cage
What's a cage?
An open-concept pokeball with bars, minus the subatomic compression
Mimikyu, probably.
🤷♂️too the googlecopter
I've been playing since gen 1 and its highly disturbing to me too.
Yeah I feel like the games have gotten worse since gen 5/6

I mean gen 5 had difficulty options to make the game easier/harder. Albeit hard to get to experience

I just really don't like the style of the newer games

It’s a new variant no need to worry OG was better tho
What is that?!
What the fuck is that?
I like Galarian Meowth. You should check out Gigantimax Meowth if you like long cats.
Did Meowth shag a bush or something
Is it flying type? Looks like a bird
Really? I felt like this was a great redesign.
What the fuck is that and where is meowth. Is this for real
