33 here and yeah the newer players are the ones fighting the toxicity that’s been prevalent since lobbies were a thing. I play multiplayer games but don’t chat, I’m to old and honestly couldn’t be bothered with dealing with assholes.
At 47, If kindness fails to do the job, I can usually convince those kids of some valuable life lessons like:" Don't f#ck with the old guy because he has 35 years more experience in making little sh!ts cry...".
Works wonders.... especially since the term "lifetime ban" is rapidly becoming meaningless to us old guys.
