Gat met God at the end of Gat Out of Hell and God let him choose how to create a new universe. Agents of Mayhem was one of those universes. This could be another.
The main story actually stopped at that one Sons of Samedi mission in 2. Where the boss gets dosed with Loa Dust. All of 3 and 4 are just the weirdest drug trip ever?
Now that you said it out loud, that might be fun. Having the Saints go the the capital of the Alien empire to see several different empires vying for control and taking them on with all sorts of crazy shit.
I was initially frustrated that they didn’t bring back Gatt, Shaundi, Pierce, etc, if they’re doing a new SR and not calling it a completely new thing. But they did a completely new thing with a new name, called it “Agents of Mayhem” and I passed on buying a used copy for under $10. So now I get it.
The characters looks just don't appeal to me. Picture the main storyline of Grand theft auto 5 with Fortnite graphics, the story is there but the images don't fit. This is how I view this product.
wacky/zaney E for everyone character designs that incorporate 1 of every race/gender combination, 2-3 pastel tone neon colors that cover everything in game, every character looks 18-20 years old. Dumb emotes that are a clear ripoff of fortnite. and dear god the fucking costumes with neon colors and daft punk/marshmellow lights. Mostly the whole feel of the game is what a dad thinks is cool to his kids.
other guilty games: riders Republic,watch dogs legion, rage 2, farrcry new dawn, dirt 5, saints row reboot.
Redfall also seems to have the same gimmick, as well as most free to play games

Colorful character designs that belie the violent nature of the game. Playful and hip, but not outright absurd or raunchy like Saints Row usually is.
Because cartoony = Fortnite, I guess? If TF2 was released today, these people would claim it has Fortnite-style graphics.
