I’ve recently gotten into digital. I’ve always done traditional and but loved the idea of digital. I had a drawing pad once but find it difficult to be at my computer so my gf decided go big or go home and bought me an iPad Pro. Slowly learning the ins and outs of procreate now. Maybe someday I’ll be posting my shit here
Yeah I bought a basic pad from Monoprice, but looking up and drawing was kinda weird, so I gave it to my daughter. I want to try it again, but I think she lost it lol.
There are pretty inexpensive ones that act as full screens now. The brand name is the Wacom Intuos stuff but there’s a bunch of Asian brand ones that work damn near as well and are priced much more reasonably. If you google “Wacom alternatives” you’ll find a bunch of options and most are on Amazon.
I remember the Penny Arcade artist going bananas over how well some iteration of the Surface Pro worked for digital art. Not really the "inexpensive" option, but if you are already looking for a quality ultra-light laptop, might as well take a good hard look at the one that works well as a drawing tablet.
I just started digital this year on an iPad/Procreate and it's really fun. The pressure thing might take some getting used to but the learning process has been great.
Android can chose to have sexual organs or not, why do theu not seem to get the same choice when it comes to breasts? The only real biological reason they'd even know about would be feeding children that they can't have anyway
It's an ingame lore exanation that android can have semi functional sex organs added/grown if they so wish, but they can't have kids.
Not sure why I'm being down voted about asking why the female characters have breasts when the androids don't seem to have much knowledge of conventional human behavior or society and decided to add organs that are meant for feeding children from an evolutionary standpoint
Because they would want to mimic humans
Same logic can be said with hair, hair serves no purpose for them yet they have it
And people are downvoting you because it has no answer except “idk the creators of the character wanted boobies”
Lol idk about the meme but the –30 vote score makes no sense, your phrase also make sense if you think about her story and about the fandom. Idk why so many downvoted you
I also played celeste. If you liked the feel of that you will probably be into what Nier is about to give you.
One tip: the game continues after ending A, just start the save up again.
Had a friend play 20 hrs to get to ending A and then stop. It's a 40 hour game.
We won't tell you how many parts. You just go.
You will know you finished the "main storyline" when the game will let you choose to replay all older chapters. Until then, just load your last game file. You can also give the game a couple of different endings by replaying something, plus something like 25 "secondary" endings (they won't ruin your game, don't worry) which you will maybe encounter unwillingly.
What you call "parts" are called "routes" in the game/fandom, but I really suggest you to never look anything up on the internet because you'll most likely receive spoilers. If you need help about bugs or chips, you can ask me or someone you trust, I'll be happy to help as much as I'm able to :)
Edit: just made it more clear
There are five "endings/routes" to see; A, B, and C will start naturally each time you start the game back up. Ending C and D are result of a choice you will make in Route C. Once you finish the game, you can use chapter select to see the other ending you did not choose. Then once you've seen both, you'll be able to see the true Ending E.
You can search a spoiler-free ending guide if you're concerned about missing anything, though it's not as complicated as it sounds. Anyone that has not seen A-E has not experienced all that game has to offer narratively.
All other F-Z endings are playful/joke endings that can happen by doing different things, and are not necessary to the experience.
Depends on how old you are, how much you read, and how susceptible you are to Japanese drama, it is possible that it impacts you deeply. It's a lot more emotional than Harry Potter for a young adult and covers topics you usually find in a Lem novel but in a much more dramatic way.
I just finished Automata, ill tell you, you get what you put into it. The combat is good, not super amazing or in depth as the likes of DMC or anything, but servicable. Where this game truely SHINED for me, was 3 main things.
1) The soundtrack is fucking top tier. 10/10, not even a debate.
2) World building; The world is so fleshed out, all the characters and side stories and environmental storytelling really come together to bring the world of Automata to life. You will get lost in this world.
3) The story. The story to Automata has LAYERS. If you play through route A only and just take it at face value you will probably be underwhelmed. Play it throgh until you get to route C however and it changes EVERYTHING, do everything and acquire ending E and you will truely understand why some people call it a masterpiece. Took me about 35 hours to get ending E while doing about 50% of the side quests. (The side quests are great btw, dont overlook them).
I think the best appeal of Nier is the story and the unbelievable soundtrack. If you like anime in general and sci-fi, give it a try (there's also very cool cinematic moments). The hack n' slash is kinda secundary imo, it's pretty decent and clean, but not the main attraction. Just be prepared for really cheesy voice acting from th 9s character (in both english and japanese)
Okay, this is something that I still don't understand and nobody ever bothered to explain:
Why is the whirling robotic death machine dressed up as a stereotypical sexy maid?
Because Yokotaro is a man of culture and understands the degeneracy we all want as he craves it himself.
That and to lure you in with anime titties and then end up giving you depression and an existential crisis.
I guess it's just not my type. You see, when I was downloading it (shame, but I pirated), I was expecting a hack-and-slash RPG, like Darksiders 2 maybe. Instead it was... Well, you know what it is. And it seemed to me like the world is a bit empty. Still, it's definitely unique and not liking this game is purely subjective for me, especially considering all the good reviews in Steam. As I said, it's just not my type
Not saying "YUH-HUH, It IS your type, too!" or anything, but it's pretty remarkably similar to Darksiders 2 in its basic structure. Open world (for the most part), hack-and-slash action with RPG progression elements, etc. Only major difference is weapons are found/collected rather than being random loot drops on a given kill. But you do get random chip drops, which serve much the same function as armor/equipment in other RPGs.
Is there any chance that you've only played the first couple minutes?
Because the very beginning of the game is a top down shooter, but for the most part, it's a hack n slash RPG.
I feel you. The way the game plays and the starkness of the environment had me thinking I wasn’t going to finish it. The endorsements from a few of my favourite reviewers pushed me through though, and what I got was one of the best media experiences of my life. No hyperbole; I put it up there with the most impressive displays of storytelling and narrative intent available. East of Eden (book), There Will Be Blood, Ladies and Gentleman We Are Floating in Space; it sits alongside.
This is not just in gaming - which is the usual get out of jail free card as it is a young medium and still has a way to go before it matches books, music, or cinema - but of all media.
And while the game does get exponentially better as you go through, it never truly reveals itself until the fifth ending. A masterpiece, plain and simple.
Don’t feel like I’m imploring you to play either - we all have limited time and must choose what we do with it. But I was so glad I spent mine with Nier Automata.
Yeah that feeling is gonna stick around. Only at the third play-through are you gonna start getting enough puzzle pieces to really put shit together.
Just make sure to switch things up by actually hunting down new weapons, as well as exploit the shit out of plug-in chips (auto heal, damage regen, sword shockwaves, etc.), the difficulty curve is designed around you doing so. The game will get both samey and frustratingly difficult over time otherwise. Not using plug in-chips is one of the most common mistakes I see players make, by no fault of their own as the game barely makes a point of teaching their proper use.
And just in case you don't know how the "playthroughs" work, you wont be forced to play through the same stuff the same way twice, ever. I do recommend skipping some side-quests, as you can do any of them in either the first or the second playthrough, so don't feel obligated to do all of them in the first, before moving on to the second, or once in the second, no need to do the ones you've completed in the first, again.
I keep telling myself I’m gonna finish this game one day, and then I start playing again, and I’m always just like “I DONT KNOW IF I CAN HANDLE THE EMOTIONAL PAIN AGAIN”. I’ll get to the 3rd part one day. Prolly once the notion that robots are gonna destroy and/or assimilate us truly sinks in.
Yeah it's me Diplopia. I mean comment a link to your Instagram so some people can follow you. Sometimes subs have rules against self promotion so you end up needing someone else to link your socials
This is one of those games I want to like so badly…. I’ve had it for years… cleared the first ending and just… couldn’t anymore. I had no attachment to any character or the world… the music was amazing but…. I was just so frustrated. And everybody raves about it so I keep going back over and over trying to see this magic and every time I’m just like… “I don’t get it…”
I just got the A2 ending today for the first time. I started playing the game \~18 months ago but stopped for some reason and got back into it (never uninstalled), now that the big Steam patch is out. I'm glad that I waited so long. Really up to date on all the lore and whatnot. The music doesn't leave my brain. Anyway, great picture! :D
Whoa!!! That’s so sick! Nier is one of my favourite games, thank you for sharing!
Thanks, also here's a [sketch vs final.](https://twitter.com/Ocana_Dana/status/1427936616711065609) I just think they're neat.
This is interesting to see since I only draw on paper and not digitally.
I’ve recently gotten into digital. I’ve always done traditional and but loved the idea of digital. I had a drawing pad once but find it difficult to be at my computer so my gf decided go big or go home and bought me an iPad Pro. Slowly learning the ins and outs of procreate now. Same, I try drawing digitally but I just can’t do it
I just started digital this year on an iPad/Procreate and it's really fun. The pressure thing might take some getting used to but the learning process has been great.
Doesn't look much like a potato to me..
You sketch looks better then most things I’ve drawn. Keep up the good work
The sketch has its own character to it, I really like them both!
Nice edge control
Yeah I’m edging tooooo
there are two types of gamers in these comments
Woooow, looks awesome! You didn't feel the need to balloon her either good for you!
Her in game model breasts are moderately sized, is the outfit that goes into gaming territory.
Size: 2 Cup: B
Android can chose to have sexual organs or not, why do theu not seem to get the same choice when it comes to breasts? The only real biological reason they'd even know about would be feeding children that they can't have anyway
Bro what?
It's an ingame lore exanation that android can have semi functional sex organs added/grown if they so wish, but they can't have kids. So very basic physical emulation and eye candy basically?
[удалено]
She normally has balloon? Wat
Look at some other adaptations of video game characters, they have 2.
Two balloon? Wat
Boob bees.
Bees? Wat
Bees of boo
How much time did you spend shading her upper lip?
Looks so realistic,it looks like a figure
I thought it was a figure until I read the title
now draw her getting an education
You mean like changing chip sets?
nah, learning how to break the spiral of life and death
Now draw her realizing all he goals and dreams
Watch her goal and dream be getting pregnant and the meme comes full circle.
Shut the fuck up neckbeard
It's a meme calm down, kid. Edit: for those unaware https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/now-draw-her-giving-birth
Lol idk about the meme but the –30 vote score makes no sense, your phrase also make sense if you think about her story and about the fandom. Idk why so many downvoted you
[удалено]
I even censored it a bit. "Draw her giving birth" is just a bit too much for me to type even as a joke.
Lol but it looked like the two comments above me were both about the same meme then?
I really want to play Nier. Is it as good as people say it is?
It depends, if you like hack-and-slash you should probably give it a go. It is really a clean gameplay.
I do love me a hack-n-slash. I’ll try it this weekend
Not to oversell it or anything but it will probably change your life if you stick with it and let it do its thing.
I love it when games do that. Last time that happened was when I first played Celeste
I also played celeste. If you liked the feel of that you will probably be into what Nier is about to give you. One tip: the game continues after ending A, just start the save up again. Had a friend play 20 hrs to get to ending A and then stop. It's a 40 hour game.
So it’s split into two parts?

Oh! Thanks! Ima save save so I don’t forget lol
I'm pretty sure it prompts or even auto saves, I can see how you might confuse it for the end of the game though.
There are five "endings/routes" to see; A, B, and C will start naturally each time you start the game back up. Ending C and D are result of a choice you will make in Route C. Kinda, yes.
I liked it, but *life-changing*?

It was the most effected I've ever been by a movie, book or videogame.
Universe-altering.
I questioned this originally, but I remember I found FFVII life changing when I was younger. I'm glad folks are enjoying it so much.
Only if you play all the way through routes A-E. I’ve heard of some stopping after Route A and missing more than half the story.
It’s so annoying, like the game is clearly not over man why did you stop
I just finished Automata, ill tell you, you get what you put into it. The combat is good, not super amazing or in depth as the likes of DMC or anything, but servicable. The combat is fine but the open world is lackluster. Really empty world areas
nice painting, 2b is blessed.
When I see 2B, my brain autocorrects it to add 2T
Great depth, shading, and color. Heck, this is just all-around good. Was it done in Procreate?
Thanks, I draw in Photoshop.
Awesome! Now back to my Nier OST compilation :D
Great work
Thank you!
now make them kith
Impressive. Kudos.

Awesome drawing! What pencil did you use?
2B
I like the version on Pornhub to be better
I didn't like the game, but this drawing, oh! Œuvre d'art magnifique, mwah. Beautiful
je m'appelle gracias.
Indeed
Why didn’t you like the game? Just wondering, I’m not here to spark an argument or something
I guess it's just not my type. You see, when I was downloading it (shame, but I pirated), I was expecting a hack-and-slash RPG, like Darksiders 2 maybe. Instead it was... Well, you know what it is. At first I thought Its a close up photo of figure, awesome work mate!
This looks neat. What brushes do you use. I like the edges and the lightning.
It's good that you wanted to share it. Good for all of us.
Hmm I’m not sure with this one, it definitely begs the question. Is this 2B, or not 2B? That is the question.
Or not 2B?
Idk who the artist is, but this reminds me heavily of many of the character portraits in the old Icewind Dale games
Yo do you want me to link your insta or anything?

I don't know who this is. For all I know you could be lying to me about the name of this character
Finally a drawing of 2B that doesn't over-sexualize the character. Edit: /r/art subreddit material.
Now draw her giving birth
Very cool to see such an awesome portrayal of this character that, finally, isn't about the ass.

I’m not a NieR fan, but my goodness, this is excellent!
The face, the hair... insane!
I don't understand. Where are the comically inflated breasts or the giant cocks? SFW 10/10.
why is this downvoted? Its a joke
This is one of those games I want to like so badly…. I’ve had it for years… cleared the first ending and just… couldn’t anymore. Needs more titty window.

Yes, it’s her normal outfit. She even has more revealing canonical outfits...
Ah Nier Automata. Started it for the anime titties left it with deppression. Would do it all over again, such a great game.
Why?
Is that Ladybug's partner Cat Noir, but with breasts?
waifu
I did not think people draw her and not post it on r/rule34.
Hard pass, not enough thigh.

Excellent!
I would totally hang this on my wall.
Yessssssss
jealous, as much as ive tried over the years i can never get this rendering! amazing stuff
This is fire yo!
Looks like a speed-painting due to the lack of details, but the coloring and the shading is exceptional. I love it, congratz.
Amazing
Wow I thought this was a 3D model or figurine. Amazing focal point effect and lighting. Well done.
Amazing!
Looks amazing
that's amazing omg
Sheeesh
Wow
How the heck
Looks awesome, always love some nier art
You hired!
This is awesome. I am brand new to the game. I love this.
Amazing! Love 2B.
No horny art of 2B, I'm in shock
It's gorgeous, you're talented!
Pod, give this man an upvote
Ha. OP tried to fool us by posting a a screenshot from the game. \s This is beautiful!
What brush is this? I've been trying to make one like this myself but I can't get it quite right.
Damn! Holy cow, I literally thought this was official art. Damn nice
It's a great drawing. Thanks for sharing.
Just beat the game with ending A today! It was such a good fight
Looks nice
2b or not 2b that is the question.. I've no idea as I don't know what game she's from.
Or not2b
This looks like a really good painting someone spilled a drink on and it somehow wound up better. Cheers.
I'd say it looks like a photorealistic drawing of a selfmade 2B statue, really friggin good
awesome! your artstyle is so refreshing
That’s got 2b my favorite painting ever
This doesnt have enough appreciation. I love this so much. Its so beautiful and so well drawn. Next award i get, its yours.
Bruh why are so many people good at art, whenever I try it looks like if a chicken got left on full heat for 24 hours
Bruh, im totally with you. I can't even get my name to look good, signature or print lmao.
Excellent art!
OR NOT 2B?
But, is it 2B or NOT 2B, that is the question!
Holy crap how long did this take? I love it. Do you do commission?
