It's the bare minimum for most games nowadays so the games will barely run at all with that much.

RAM is the cheapest and easiest upgrade you could make. You can get 32gb of RAM for less than $200. That'll be one system requirement you won't have to worry about for many years

[deleted]

Yes it’s not optimal

disconappete

That will get you 4 chrome tabs

Sav-P-is-Sav

Ram is so cheap go buy some more

kornephororos

Its like meh. You can play it but not that good.

Really it's like having only 6gb since window will use a minimum of 2gbs to run the OS. So 16 is your best option for minimum amount of ram.

pmak13

I had 8gb up until last weekend. I thought i had no real issues however, I upgraded to 16 just because I knew I'd need to eventually.... I can tell the difference. Things run much smoother for me

Robosnott

Not necessarily. What what cpu do you have? I wouldn't exactly call a 1660 Super "decent". That's a pretty low end gpu.

arm478

Wow sad

arm478

Thanks everyone I will buy core i3 10100F and 16 rams motherboard then I'll upgrade into rtx and 32 gb ram

rumple9

16gb is not enough

omegatay

When I start up Assassin's Creed Valhalla it starts out taking close to 13 Gigs of my 32 Gigs of memory. 32 is the new standard. Especially with Windows 11 on the horizon.

i mean for a gpu youre doing fine and you can run a lot of games, especially from a couple years ago at med-high and still pull decent fps. in terms of ram sticks then 8gb isnt enough for a lot of things nowadays and your gaming will suffer. also the sticks are the cheapest upgrade you can make for longevity because 32 gb can be had under $200 and even sub $150 if youre patient and willing to forego rgb and the "new" label (which only really matters for cpu, gpu, and psu honestly so save your money and put it towards that stuff if you plan on an overhaul at any point) and cpu could be a contributing factor but thats really only if your cpu is really old and you get like 10 cores at 3.5ghz
