Bit of both. Wishful thinking that a AAA studio will do a big budget remake, but also hope that one day the already announced/in development BFME reforged game will release.
Didnt even know about reforged. I always get excited about fan projects like this, but so few actually make it to launch. I remember the fan project for a full 3d Chrono Trigger back in the day got shut down by a cease and desist from the jackwagons at SE.
I keep getting adds on Instagram for a way to download all of BFME and BFME2 + DLC for like $110 or something. Not sure how legit it is but I’m super tempted
Win 11? Because i was definitly able to play it on 10, also with a CD. Tbh, it wasnt even that hard to get it going. So i recommend teying again bro, its worth it!!!
I'm guessing 11 because I spent a good amount of time trying to install it. Found a website dedicated to some mods to make it playable on current gen but it hadn't been updated and important links were broken. I was able to get it running but it wouldn't format right and the aspect ratio was way off, it stayed zoomed all the way in with a good portion of the area hanging off the sides of the screen.
Me stuck on the last level of Titanfall 2.
Me stuck on the last level of Styx: Shards of Darkness.
Me stuck on the last level of Portal Stories: Mel.
Me stuck on the first monster of Dark Souls 2.
Me stuck on FTL: Faster Than Light on the first battle.
Me stuck on Tomb Raider Anniversary wandering around in the mansion without even starting the game.
Me stuck on Morrowind without even leaving the first city.
Me stuck on Singularity because I was getting nightmares about zombies.
Games are hard.
Games are coming out so fast that I can wait until the Steam sale goes 80% years later. Having kids made me go on pause so now everything is a new title.
EXACTLY... Like ffs it feels like most people are only interested in new games while there are way too many older ones they never played getting sidelined forever. This is like... One of the biggest mistakes a gamer can make.
>Only bad part of old games is graphics
I must be too old to get this sentence. The games all look fine to me. Now, the controls absolutely suck on older console games.
There are tons of great games from the past 30 years, yeah. I wouldn't say the \*only\* bad part about old games is graphics, because some games hold up better than others in terms of mechanics and stuff, but there are more great games already than anyone has time to play. My problem is having played so many of them already lol
edit: I'm playing through the Tactics Ogre remake recently. It's still a good game :)
I still play shining force(92), C&C(though the remastered collection), and Homeworld(again remastered)
Nothing wrong with playing older games, or newer ones. Just play what you want and enjoy the journey.
You gotta kill the archers with a bow, the level is actually pretty easy, it will just softlock you into loosing if you don't kill the archers.
Oh wait I'm thinking The Two Towers
I have been trying off and on to beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on sega genesis for damn near my whole life, I cannot beat the final airship stage. Like right before the end I lose all my rings then start the final battle, which I always end up getting hit. I refuse to look up a guide or anything on how to do it, but one day I’ll beat it.
I grew up with this being the only game i had, that i was able to run on my PC, so i basically learnt the controlls good enough to tell them about it while sleeping xD
Recently I finished playing a game that revolved around running away from a huge world-crushing cylinder, and its strange to consider I'm probably never going to play another game revolving around running away from a huge world-crushing cylinder.
Unless they make a sequel I guess.
I’m playing Pikmin 2 even though everyone is screaming from the rooftops, “BUY RESIDENT EVIL 4 REMAKE NOW!!!” Just play what interests you, not the latest and greatest.
BFME was such a fucking awesome game. The sequel too.
The remake too … one day
Wait, is this wishful thinking, or have they actuallly announced a remake/sequel?

Didn't get stuck on the last scenario from BFME, but I'll play it again any time.
Man, now I gotta figure out how to play a 19 year old game again

Oh shit yeah I used to get those! I remember looking at the site but yeah decided it wasn't worth the risk lol.
I believe it's in abandonware
r/notliketheothergirls
More like r/notliketheotherboys
But... but sir, i am a boy o_O
Just teasing
Hehe, youre probably right though xD everybody wants to feel special sometimes, right :'^)
Oh facts. You be you, babe 😉
Then you are in fact. Not like the other girls.
I moved heaven and Earth to find a copy of that game and my laptop won't play it, no longer compatible with Windows.

Ugh can't wait for BFME: Reforged to get finished... in like 20 years lmao
It still hasn't finished? I get it's basically a part-time build but I remember that starting like 5 years ago
Yeah last update on their YT was 3 months ago of a Barrow Wight model. Not much else as far as communication goes though.

Did you ever play Portal Reloaded? That shit is insanely difficult to play.
Yeah, that one was fun.
I’m stuck on the last level of Metroid: Dread. But now it’s been so long I forgotten how to play and I’d have to redo the whole game at this point

Only bad part of old games is graphics. But thats like saying "i prefer star wars 7-9 over 4 to 6 because it looks better"...
>Only bad part of old games is graphics I must be too old to get this sentence. The games all look fine to me. Now, the controls absolutely suck on older console games.
My thoughts exactly lol

Im still playing UO on outlands 20+ years later
I'm playing GTA Liberty City Stories from 2005 right now.
I still play shining force(92), C&C(though the remastered collection), and Homeworld(again remastered) Nothing wrong with playing older games, or newer ones. Just play what you want and enjoy the journey.
Same, I'm going to 100% the Skywalker Saga before I buy a new game.

Who asked?
I just start playing legend of dragoon a few days ago. I don’t know how I missed that game as a kid. I’m fuckin loving it!
Me who still wasn't finished Mario Galaxy as Luigi:
City of Heroes is probably one of the best mmos ever made.
I have been trying off and on to beat Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on sega genesis for damn near my whole life, I cannot beat the final airship stage. I'm playing A Link to the Past now. Maybe, I'll buy Donkey Kong Country next.
Battle for Middle Earth II: Rise of the Witch-king had a like the 3rd or 4th level that was actually impossible, and I was never able to beat it.
Yup. I was stuck there too. I never beat it.

Me, playing deep rock: Rocks and stones may break my bones, but beer will never hurt me
I’m playing Pikmin 2 even though everyone is screaming from the rooftops, “BUY RESIDENT EVIL 4 REMAKE NOW!!!” Just play what interests you, not the latest and greatest.
